I get that, and the cost is not worth retrofitting existing systems but it would be something to consider moving forward. I never considered it until buying the new place and figuring out that 80% of our household waste water comes from showers/laundry/dishes and was thinking about the cost to treat all that waste water as if it were black.

If I could divert only my tiolets to a tank and filter my grey water onsite then I would only have to pump out twice a year as opposed to 17 times. Because we are within 150' of the shoreline our only options are a tank or a $30K + 3 phase sand filter system which treats all waste water. I would just think the treatment of grey could be done a lot more inexpensively...

I looked into the greywater flushing systems ray and it is a help but it only recycles that 20% of wastewater generated by toilets. a good start but I think we can do better.

I could be way off, maybe with the detergents & soaps used grey water is just as difficult to treat, but I would not think so.

Anyway... sorry for the off topic but waste water dissposal is not just an RV issue, we are all going to have to face quickly increasing costs to disspose of waste water unless you are on a traditional septic field system.

Honestly, if they had said sorry, We no longer allow people off the street to dump here I would have said ok then and been on my way. Disappointed, but still have respect for their policy change. Charging double is just ignorant IMO.

As a business i think they can pretty much charge what they want. At pretty much anytime. They are not refusing to serve you at all, And as a convenience and profit margin have set there price to make money on a service they provide to you even though you haven't camped there. Personally i see no problem. If $10is to much you do have other options.

we have a Biocycle system at home as they would not let me put a field in the clay soil we have. Anyway, it was $18 grand and no need for 3 phase power either. Maybe something to consider.

I agree with you. They can charge what they want. It's ignorant IMO is all to more than double the price after almost 15 years of being less.
I am aware of other options and will be using them. I am not the only one who had bitched about this either. Since then I have talked to a few others who weren't impressed.

Its seems that the richer we get the cheaper we get. In the old days of little trailers, smaller trucks, little house, (no groomed trails) we we're all happy to pay a little for something else. Now we live in mansions, drive huge trucks, pull gaint trailers, and ride turbo sleds, that all cost thousand of dollars which is ok. Now ask for $10.00 for some little service and its like man that will make you short on next months payments for all the rich stuff you own. If you owned the camp site, or had to by the air compresser or groomer would you not charge, so why can't they.

It's $10.50 and if you would fully read the damn thread that "service" as you call it, which involves opening the electric gate and that's it as worst case they might have to hose a little for the sloppy dumper, was less than half that last year which is my bitch.
This has nothing to do with how much money I make, how much my stuff cost's, if it's paid for or not, etc. It's about a cash grab simply cuz they can and that kind of stuff pisses me off.

Many big box stores now offer free sani dumping same with the majority of tourist info centers, around home anyways. Cant think of a time where I have ever had to pay
