Where does the Husky have one? I have never seen it. Sorry didn't mean to take over a thread but you do have a good point about why it cost so much to dump. I am sure the maintenance is brutal!
the one in acheson is on the north side of the building .... its kinda hidden so if you dont know its there you will drive right past it .... its been awhile since i have been there to use it but im sure it would still be there

Maybe its a septic holding tank and the pumping/cleaning out fees at the campground went up?:dunno:

No the one at Lions goes right into the city sewer.

My point was what justification could there have been to double it? It's not about the money, more about the point that I know what my sewer and water bill is in my house here, there is NO WAY I use anything close to $10 worth of water or sewage treatment in my trailer load. Maybe 10 cents. Just frustrating.

Flying J off 67th I believe does have a dump; but it's also $10, didn't have water last time I was there, and like every other GD place in town the grade is the wrong way so your jacking around with blocks to get it all out. Westerner, Uncle Ben's, FJ, and Jumbo downtown are the only other ones and Jumbo is fine if they aren't lined up.

Just gonna have to go back to detouring into Sylvan to drop it at the UFA or back track to Rocky when I'm out that way and dump it at their FREE city dump station with two rows of dumping holes. Only makes sense right?

City owns the lions camp ground but its leased out to a privateer who runs it for profit, he took it over this year. Guess he decided to up the poop dump fee.

maybe they had to repair and old decaying system, broken water lines, broken sewer line. are you sure it goes into the city line? maybe if it does the city has started charging them to have it because they are charging to use it and they just passed that cost along.

the lions camp ground in white court is fantastic. great guy runs it, hooked up to a full service site with sewer for 735$ a month......and they have a free dump right across the street for people not staying in tha camp ground as well as one in the camp ground for the registered campers......

people need to stop complaining and look at the bright side of things......at 10$ all the complainers will go else where and the line to dump on a Monday after a ling weekend will be quick and painless.......

Where is this one behind the arena you speak of ??

if ya come in from the delburn hi way, far east entrance stay to the east side "behind" the arena. You pay at the campground but the dump is outside their gate and inside the arena gate. It's in the middle of the parking lot , I think it's a brown 20x30 building all by it self, sewer on west side of it.

It's funny you mention this!!!! You watch the threads this winter about guys driving a new truck, pulling a new 4 place, with 4 new sleds. And they are the first to b!tch about having to pay an extra 10 bucks for fuel........... lmfao :rolling:

Ya but how many of those units are owned outright? Probably none, so their maxed out on payments already so that extra $10 will kill them.

The way people leave the dump sites i really don't blame anyone for charging what they want. If the dump fees are to high, take your shiit home, it is not up to Anyone else to look after yer crap. I have no problem with a campground charging non campers for dumping there sewage. Up keep, pumping out/ discharge does cost

between fracking and everyone dumping on the side of the road this countries fresh water sure won't stay fresh for long eh?

Kinbasket lake resort is 50km from golden and the pump out of its poop dump was $600 per pump out last year.
just chiming in to put some perspective on costs at a remote location.

carry on with the thread jacking ...

Well..fracking is a whole other topic...and if you get your fresh water from the depths that are fracked, hair on ya for being able to afford a water well that deep....but I really don't agree with people dumping their tanks in the ditches or on the road....lazy, nasty, unsanitary, and gross. If you're OK with it, then dump your tanks on your own front lawn.
