I haven't been able to find a consolidated source that shows how the investment in Petro Canada cost taxpayers or if it actually made money i the end. Certainly not a short term play and I would be surprised if Trans Mountain will be different. Politics. Good grief.

Govt Canada has reaped considerable returns on its 8% investment in Hibernia - but not sure buying the pipe is the right approach in this case.
Maybe now the feds will have the balls to force PQ to allow NL to wheel electricity through it to markets .... somehow I doubt it.

Anything goes as long as it's not from alberta.
The cleanup was always a responsibility of KM but now it's the feds job to do any cleanups as they are the owners......Hey that's us tax payers again.

My point is very simple, all Canadians have access to BC coastal waters, as long as they follow BC laws and regulations

The same as all Canadians have access to Alberta oil, as long as we follow Alberta laws and regulations.

You obviously use a ton of oil products everyday so I would say yes, you do have equal access to Alberta oil. The whole country benefits from the oil reserves in Alberta in the way of jobs, equalization payments and investment. We are trying so hard to share more of our wonderful oil but as$clowns are making it real hard. I’m not sure what type of industry you work in but I’m sure if you were restricted on selling your product from pure stupidity you wouldn’t feel all that great about it.
