This is the first year I chose to not go. I know lots of people who compete in this Event. Just heard this.it is leaving a lump in my throat. My heart goes out to everyone.

my buddy Luc just got off the phone with Turbo Al ...says it was catastrophic

900 feet wide at the top and 300 feet wide at the bottom ...30 feet deep

Just got word from some of the boys off my husband's Rig who were at the avalanche... their sleds were buried, but they are all off the moutain safe and sound... good news! Many prayers for more happy endings...

Just talked to the Backus boys, they didnt tell me much, but all of there crew is accounted for, all my hopes and prayers go those who are still missing. We all really need to listen to all of the warnings.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by today's tragedy. Has a trust been set up for the families of the affected yet? I would love to donate, it's the least I can do to help.

Just heard the news. Horrible! My son and son-in law and friends were there and reported they are ok, but other people aren't. My prayers go out to the ones missing and their families.

These are the PM's I am getting, not only from this person but others. I feel it is important that we share info, but if we are sharing info it should be the correct info. I for one am shutting off my computer for the night and I know my friends will be contacting me directly as they have been doing. Are you going to watch TV or listen to radio or even go to a site online to find out about this? How do you think that information gets there? The Canadian Press supplies TV stations, radio stations, American press, Internet and newspapers. They get their info from us. I am only trying to do my job and get information and share that with everyone who has heard about this and wants to know more. I am sorry you don't want to help.

I am helping the people I know by respecting their wishes to not spread information that has not been %100 confirmed. Many people have had a long and tiring day and many more will have a long and tiring next few days. If you wish to have more information the RCMP is available and will be doing a press conferance when all the proper information has been gathered. That is the most important that needs to be shared.
