180 vs 160 hp..

that 20hp dissapears very quick when adding an aditional 100lbs

And so does the Doo's power at 6000 feet. 3% loss / 1000 ft means it's making around 160- 6*3 = 142 hp

Now it's 180 vs. 142 hp.......hmmmmmmmmm could be close!

got hanguards or what?

what do you mean who rides stock anyhow?

most people do. why mess with something that works. ive been riding for a long time now and have never felt a need for a 200+hp sled for my style of riding. especially if im going to be dead by lunch time.

track length?

lug height?

start comparing apples to apples

i never once said a 180 nitro will not take out a new xp but there are alot of factors involved in doing so.

for example. who the fawk cares about a highmark

did anyone even ask what style of riding this guy does? LOL

sure if he wants to highmark until he kills himself nitro all the way!

NITRO RULES!!!! NITRO RULES!!!! NITRO RULES!!!!

oh, you ride a stocker?

This thread is so far into left field from the posters question. I don't see anywhere in the original where it even mentions a turbo.

yes i dont even have the foam taken off my sidepanels.

some people have asked me if i have done any modifications because i can actually ride it.

dont get me wrong. if i for some reason had excess cash to blow i would buy a turbo nitro as a second sled forsure. they are fun. just not 'ALL around" fun for me

2010 nytro 162 - 560lbs + 20?lbs for turbo = 580lbs/180hp = 3.22
2010 skidoo everest 162 - 455/141 = 3.22

power to weight is viirtually the same i dont understand how they murder the xp?

obviously i have never seen it in person but some here say they have or have not

HAHA, you are trying to hard to prove a point that im not to sure about. Maybe you are not so happy with the cash thrown down on your stock XP. Either way, get on your sled and have fun. Who truly cares, like i said before they have their pros and cons. Im sure throughout the season you will see for yourself on the hills.

no. if i wanted a nytro i would buy a nytro.

i ride 80 days a year and have a blast ever day doing it.on an xp. wouldnt trade it for anything.

whats your deal?

im just stating a fact about power to weight ratios thats all.

my POINT is a low boost nytro will climb just as good as a stock xp or slightly better/ climbing is only one style of riding. it will not perform aswell in the trees. and the origional post had nothing to do with turbos. end of story.

rode with a number of mcx180 nytros last year. They run about equal to a pump gas turbo m8. one of the guys we ride with has a 2010 nytro witha 180 kit and an 09xp with a big John (sledhead racing) 860. The nytro is noticably stronger. There will be stories about what beat what on a given day. The 180 kit will make alot of nytro owners happy. Stock to stock buy an xp.
