rode with a number of mcx180 nytros last year. They run about equal to a pump gas turbo m8. one of the guys we ride with has a 2010 nytro witha 180 kit and an 09xp with a big John (sledhead racing) 860. The nytro is noticably stronger. There will be stories about what beat what on a given day. The 180 kit will make alot of nytro owners happy. Stock to stock buy an xp.

Good discussion, I think it sort of illustrates ane of my points. There are guys who laid out 17 k ish for a stock 800 that decreases HP at altitude huge compared to a boosted nytro for a couple g's more that will still rip in the big hills and yeah I know its personal choice, but kinda makes you think, or in some cases defend vehemently the choice YOU made. And, Maxwell , wow, u rode 100 times so far this season, and you better check behind you, cause anyone back-pedalling this fast should make sure they have a clear path. LOL.

MSRP on a Freeride is $16299+gst and it doesn't even have electric start

Aside from teaching you not to cut down your competition at salesman school, they should have also told you to know your product.

I don't believe you need to buy a freeride to have an etec. So the $14199 seems accurate to me.

Dude?!? Is the last yami you rode an rx1? My nytro full of fuel was so darn close to same weight as an electric start rev last year that it wasn't even funny(with a 40l tank full of fuel), i'm sure if you look back far enough into the archives you can find pics showing the weight! Hmmmmm 1000hp........that would be awsome though!

Wondering if people have a real opinion or just ate too much yellow snow. I own an xp as well as a turbo nytro and am well aware of the pros and cons of each. Also know which one sat in the trailer all year.

as stated a long way back, i have both one for work, and one for pleasure; and would ride the nytro if it was boosted and set up well(the first time) for sure.....similar chassis, just a little harder on my buddies backs for the odd time you get burried in the trees.

In all fairness trev, we all cant have $30000+ nytros to get down to skidoo weight....................lol sure would love to though
