I guess maybe I dont know any better? My sled handles just fine in the trees, as does all the guys I ride with. Really have never had a problem getting around.

I've stated I have/had both, and have seat time on them. Some individuals are just more brand loyal to a degree and know all the ins and outs. At the end of the day each to their own. But before one trys to make comments on what they think they know, they should click the old search button first.

Anyone know how many pistons you will go through in a 2 stroke in 20,000 kms? How about a 4 stroke?

Just askin'.......... :D

LOL

good point.

consider this.

xp shortblock - 1800$

yamha shortblock - 6000$

"if" something were to go wrong on a yamaha the price tag is WAY higher for obvious reasons

just got back from revy on my etec first ride of the season and thing performs wickedly! my vote is for the doo but if u want a nitro and dont want a crazy powered one and just want a bit more get the nytro w/180 turbo on it seen one in revy and seemed to be working well. If the nytro isnt boosted then i wouldnt touch it but all the nytro riders out here that are all saying they are so amazing and so light how much $$$$ do you have into those sleds to makes them that light? we had a stock 2009nytro and a stock 08 xp sitting side by side and lifted up n both full of fuel and there was no way that the nytro was anywere close to the weight of that xp and they have made them even lighter since 08! To each there own I'm a 2 stroke guy and always will be I will buy a yammi when i have the money to run 2 sleds one for having a great day and boondocking all day and then a 4 stroke to just point and shoot

What is the failure % of 4 stroke blocks/cranks compared to 2 stroke blocks/cranks? One of the Yammy dealers should be able to tell us how many bottom ends they replace in a year, how about the Doo guys? I don't see many 4 strokes getting a bottom end done at 5000 kms, just for "preventative maintenance"......:D

I love the 2 stroke but this is the world's oldest debate I think. They are 2 very different sleds, and there is no "Comparative Analysis" that can be done between them. If you want a light sled, buy the 2 stroke. If you want a something that will still run day in and day out in 10 yrs, buy the 4 stroke. Buy whatever you want to ride and just ride the piss out of it. Sometimes I think people start these threads just to get other people going....:D

I'm getting sick from all the popcorn I've eaten during this thread, anyone got some Pepto Bismol?

jesus you guys all get way to worked up on this site it's like watching a soap opera with all you drama queens!!! To each there own Me I like 2 strokes over 4 strokes but that is just me you guys need to smoke a joint and calm the fawk down it is a simple question on what sled to buy and the answer is the big 4 all produce wicked sleds you just need some seat time to see if you like the sled! quit the bashing and bashing on other dealers and suck it up!!!
