I never worried about fuel mileage and always ran a B- on the SBC stuff but sport boats are much different.

5000 - 5300 for loooong periods. no problems.

When I did my swap I did keholes heat exchanger and oil cooler, oil cooler has a LS style oil filter mounted right on it makes it super easy and I like being able to drain the oil cooler as well otherwise your just keeping 700mls of dirty oil in the system.

Amazing how many don’t drain the oil cooler .
I put a hose on mine with plug in the end of the line . Makes it really to drain with no mess.

Rogers stuff is nice but getting harder to acquire. I have had his products on quite a few boats

There was only a handful of warm days I was out last year. I really only fired my fan up before start up. Do you guys think with the bigger engine I will be running that much warmer?

The oil pan is bigger on the 305 than this new 350. I’m going to swap it out.

And looks like the 305 has a suction line on it .
How many hours on boat ? I would put new thrust bearing in pump if it was me ?
And possibly new I joints if a bunch of hours ?

Oil relocate kit hasn’t showed up yet. Would be nice to have that before the engine goes back in. Things are looking good tho.

I'd swap the bearing for the peace of mind. if you have time. its not too much $ for a simple quick rebuild.
