Cheapest and best bang for your $$$$ is the Kem package .
I would be going with 6.2
Building motors is costly even if you can do work yourself if you are honest with yourself by the time your done .

I have talked quite a bit in the last three days to people I would say know a lot more than me about engines. Learned lots too. Although I would love to build my own engine, having it fail for whatever reason doesn’t just effect me it effects my entire family. Whether it’s a day trip down the river or lake fishing for a few days staying in a tent. Trips get cancelled and people are let down. Long story short I’ve had two trips were I let my kids down due to engine issues on previous boats. I’m going to buy a an engine that is already built and set up. It’s a little more money but there is some warranty going this way. A little more peace of mind if you pick up what I’m laying down.

Just coming to terms with the fact that I’m not going to get **** for my current motor and I will need new manifolds. I won’t cheap out tho. I want it to be reliable.

I don't under stand why you need new manifolds? Can someone help me out with that?

Don't even try to sell your 305, I couldn't sell my 350 for $500, it was good piece of mind to have it in the shed. I figured it would take me about 6 hrs to change it back out if need be.

All three performance/engine builders told me my manifolds will not take the exhaust of a new stroker. They will take it but decreases perfomance. Too much of a choke.
