we have been 10 yrs rebuilding a 60 yr old 2 storey on 10 acres, paid less than price of new pickup ,has 2 heated shops, big machine shed, hay shed and BIG HIP roof barn for wifes critters,
The place is a money pit, local contractors all provided there own Vaseline too,BEFORE they hand you the bill!. New Well, sewer, furnace, water treatment system.
Just finished puttimg tin on All the buildings except the 30 by 100 machine shed, finished House last week,
but all my toys have roofs, thats important, not some fancy ass house like we had in town with neighbors looking out there window at me working in driveway.

heres the old house, had 2 layers of lino and 2 more of carpet on top of the original hardwood,,
BUT Best part,, its PAID for,,had our Mortgage burning few months ago.

About 3 weeks of good weather will help you out....
The cold evening are ok but the snow would suck for you....

Now that the lawyer has decided our plan of action, I can finally get excited about our build again. We had to redo everything the first framer touched. Only one window that was roughed in was right. Had to level and true walkout walls as they were taller than the cement walls. Redid LVL beams and fixed ALL the floor trusses.

This is just one example of the first guys work. First four floor trusses out by 7/16"

This mess was done by a fellow Snow and Mud member. :realmad:

If it was done by a S&Mer lets call him out on it, if you don't it just lets the next guy that uses him to get screwed by bad workmenship and loss of $$$$. Hope you get that problem resolved and he just stands up and owns it that he screwed up. He possible might have to go to trade school again if he is that bad...:rant:
