Alpine conditions are sitting between 150-170cms depending on aspect and elevation. The most recent storm has dropped 20-40cms in the riding areas and the winds have scattered that around nicely. New snow continues to be in the forecast.

The riding has been quite good with Clemina and Chappell having less tracks in the common areas. Allen Creek certainly has the goods, but you do have to travel to the farther reaches to find the untouched stashes.

Allan and Chappell will be hit with the Cats tonight. Enjoy those pre Christmas rides and sincerely hope that everyone has the best holidays ever.

Please be sure to support the VARDA supporting businesses. You can find the complete lists all over our website. These businesses invest in your good times and their support is crucial to do what we do. It really does take a community and this one is pretty rad 🤘

Ride safe

Kids rode in Chappel today. Trail in was rough with open creek crossings. Snow was so deep they did not make it to the lakes area. All agree it was prime Turbo conditions.

VARDA website states trails to be groomed tonight.

Parking lot was DEEP. Few vehicles got stuck with one needing a pull to get out.

They say at least 4 feet or more of powder up top…

Edit: I was told to, “Watch out for massive swells,” sounds like there are giant powder pillows with drop offs as you cut across open terrain.

Went up Clemina today. Trail was absolutely mint after km 3ish where the groomer was parked, and we met the groomer at km 14 on the way back down, so it's going to be a highway for tomorrow. Huge shout out to VARDA and the grooming contractor for making so much of so little down low this season.

We tried to get in to goatridge, but the visibility was a bit poor.

So we messed around in the meadows instead. Need some cooler temperatures to get the creeks frozen and filled in still. Had a blast.
