i don't think we should 'free willy', but probably 'lock up willy'....lol....he's just trying to get you guys worked up. Can't fix stupid. Closures are real, and the snowmobile community needs to attract more people to the sport (which is clearly happening) to gain more 'squeak' for the wheel.

For once I agree with WILLY!!!! More people will cause more problems. Most of the places I ride are locals only as we are the only ones who know where they are. There is no pressure to close them as there is little pressure from sledders.

I'm bettin' if you look closely at the Caribou closure map you'll find most of them are already closed, or at least restricted!

I'm not asking that he sit at a table just to at least join a club and on a forum show some support instead of always taking "his way".

It's all good humour Doug.....but personally, I don't even want guys like him in either of the clubs I belong to. Just too disruptive.

Riiight, they'll close down/restrict popular areas where there are tons of sledders (voters) but leave your little areas alone??

Oh, I know about the humor Ken. That disruption is a real pain in the azz. There is even a new club formed in Fernie due to the same sort of BS. Disruptive forces that can't see the forest for the trees.

I always complain about the 5% who seem to doo all the work and the 95% who just pay dues but at least the group of 5% get along and have fun doing the work!

I don't know Willy but I have a hard time seeing him fitting in.

That happened near Salmo and Ymir, 3 different spots were closed without consultation and for no reason at all. Of course the caribou was used as an excuse but when was the last time anyone saw a caribou wander around the bottom of a valley (2500' elevation) instead of staying up top (7000'+). Used to be 2 corridors for sledders to travel through the old caribou restricted area but now those are gone as well. You would think that there should have been meetings about this, and if there were they didn't advertise them in the local media. Even commercial tenure applications have to be advertised and I've seen a few of those in recent years.

now why would Willy join any club ???? Willy dont sit at the gas station waiting for the whole club to show up on saturday and sunday lol and Willy Dont ride groomed trails, also doesnt ride with more then 4 riders at a time ... mabey u could join my club !

Willy, I belong to 2 clubs like a lot of others. It puts money in the kitty and there will come a day when those kitties will be needed. Right now the numbers mean more than the money but eventually the clubs will have to pay to fight.

I don't ride just on Sat. and Sun, I don't wait at the gas station for club members and to wait for the whole club to show up what are you smoking tonight man, and when we ride it is like you, seldom more than 4 unless I'm guiding a group or another club ride. You don't ride groomed trails cause there are none in your area which is too bad. Our groomed trails lead us close to the sweet stuff and without the groomed trail or the trail one couldn't get to where we go and believe me without the trail you couldn't get through the bush. We don't like bumps on our old bones so we groom.

you should come down to our neck of the woods and see the operation. It would impress you.....I think! But then again, there may be a few Albertans hanging out with us.
