Can't let you Canuckians steal all the hockey thunder now can I? lol

Looks like we're losing Ferrence due to cap hits and we could possibly lose Horton. It's bad enough that we're losing Ferrence but losing Horton would be devistating IMO. Also looks like Jagr and Pandolfo are gone and possibly Redden too. Good thing we've got a good crop of young defenseman to fill Ferrence's big shoes.

Ferrence was solid in Calgary when he was here as well. You will miss him.

I have to say that I wasn't all that surprised by Horton wanting to test the FA market because he knew the B's didn't have the cap space to sign him. I was however, surprised by the Seguin trade, didn't see that coming and for them to give up on him so soon surprises me a little bit. I don't know much about Loui Ericksson but his stats are pretty good, he should be a good fit on the Krecji/Lucic line. I also had a pretty good feeling Iginla would come to Boston after Pittsburgh folded against the Bruins, he'll be a good fit on the Bergeron/Marchand line now that Jagr and Seguin are both gone.

So far I like what the B's have done in the FA market but I've a feeling they're not done yet and Rask and Bergeron should be signed to long term deals by the end of the week.

Off to a good start beating Tampa and Detroit but who in the hell does the schedules? 4 days off in a row before they play again? I hope they don't have the same kind of schedule they had last year with so much time off between games in the early part of the season. Playing so many games so close together at the end of the season could cost them injury wise.

Our power play should be better this year with big Z blocking the front of the net, not too many players that can move him out of the way.

Bruins beat the Sabres 5-2 but it comes at a cost. Sabres goon John Scott, who average about 2-3 minutes a game hits Loui Ericksson and knocks him out with an illegal, late hit to the head. Everything I've read says he's on that team for 1 reason and 1 reason only and that is to inflict pain on their opponents. I think the guy should thrown out of the league as he serves no real purpose in the NHL.

I've stated my opinion, what's everyone else think of the hit and upcoming suspension?

I did not see the hit but did read about it. Personally, I dont think there is any room for a player like that in the NHL. Maybe they should create a WWF on skates for guys like that.

I watched this last night during the game. Made me feel sick.
I guess you can say that the code is working... You run my goalie, I'll run your skill guys. Enforcers - barf.

I put up a thread earlier this season about enforcers.... I think they are disgusting and have no place in the league. Who is policing the "Policemen" in the league? Why should some skidmark who can barely play have the right and privilege to strap on skates and play in a league where his only job is to intentionally injure skilled players, and potentially end careers?
I have NO problem with gritty play, clean hits, rubbing along the boards, knocking guys off the puck, but intentionally injuring guys makes me really angry. Doesn't the NHL know that no one is going to pay to see games when all the stars are injured and they are icing a bunch of fawking apes.

If I wanted to watch guys get KO'd I'd watch UFC. I don't. I wanna watch sick saucer passes, dirty dangles, and guys undressing 3 players. I wanna watch beautiful plays, passes and goals so filthy Biron needs to retire.

The issue I have with the whole Lucic/Miller thing is this. The Sabres should have stepped up and took care of business right after it happened instead of waiting over a year to exact revenge. Bringing in a no-name, do nothing that can barely skate with the sole intent of injuring one of Bostons newly acquired players instead of stepping up and taking on Lucic or Chara? This is the Bruins 3rd player that has been hit illegally and has to sit out due to concussions and unfortunately one of them (Marc Savard) we will never see lace up his skates again. How much longer is the NHL going to let this stuff continue?

How can we forget when the Bruin haters/whiners/bedwetters always use the same old sob story? :wetpants:

And check your facts, that hit was almost 3 years ago and has since been long forgotten by the Bruins and Canadiens. :news:

Cheers hater. :patriot:
