I know it was just a 2-0 win but didn't it feel like it was pretty much out of reach after that second goal? Chicago just doesn't have an answer to the Bruins stifling defense and Rasks stellar goaltending. Really happy to see Paille bring his game finally and that 4th line was jumping again. Would love to see Jagr get a goal before this thing is over, he is way overdue. If the Bruins can win game 4 tomorrow night I think they take the series in game 6 at home. That would be sweet to win the cup at home afer winning it on the road in 2011. But if they happen to win it in Chicago that would be cool too.

Poor Chara, he loses an edge during warmups and needs stitches then gets into a final minute brawl with Bickell then needs more stitches. That Chicago PP is atrocious, I thought the Bruins PP was bad but at least they have scored a few during their PP's.

That look on his face when he was sparring with Bickell was downright scarey, he looked like he wanted to take his head off. I thought that was a bit of a cheap shot that Shaw through on Marchand, punched him in the head when he was lying on the ice with the ref standing right there. If Shaw tries to start something I think Thorton will jump in and take care of it. I just don't see Chicago being able to match up with the Bruins in the physical play department but these are desperate times for the Hawks.

You are right. Boston has all the thumpers/grinders who also have a high skill level. I liked it when Chara was sitting on the bench (instead of the box or going to the dressing room) and the linesman came over and said he should be in the dressing room. It looked like Chara said "who me?"

Yeah, I saw that and wondered why he was sitting on the bench and not in the dressing room. I sure wish we could get a bit more SC news on our local sports radio station, they promote the hell out of basketball, baseball, and golf and hardly ever talk about hockey. Damned American sports announcers anyways.

Careful how you mention Marchand and cheap shot in a sentence. Lol. Its usually more the other way around with him. He most likely deserved it.

Marchand is the type of player that everyone wants on their team and Shaw is doing his best to imitate his style. When I watched the replay it looked like Marchand got a nice little body shot on Shaw while he was on top of him so I think they are probably square.

Tonights game is a pivotal one, if the Bruins win I think this series is pretty much done, if Chicago wins then it is a new series and either team can take the cup.

i dont know if the hawks can beat them at home with the boston crowd behind them. to me it seems much like the final against van. firswt 2 games were a toss up but slowly boston wears them down to where they start to lose steam by the second and third. if the hawks cant come out strong in the first 2 periods i think that will lose every time. 54 hits a night takes its toll, and adds up over a series

Ken you hit the nail on the head with that comment. Marchand is one of the worst cheap shot artist in the NHL IMO. Cant stand the little weasel LOL

I will admit as a Bruins fan, sometimes I shake my head at some of his antics but as a player, I like his grit and skill. There are a lot of teams that would love to have him on their team. I'd love to see him and Shaw drop the gloves and go at it in a standup fair fight, like most of you that don't like Marchand, I have the same feeling towards Shaw.

Both are players you don't want to play against but would love to have them on your team.
