Just got back from Clemina , for starters the guys who said we could have the 10 liters of fuel they left at 13 km mark thank you very much and pm me or swing by lodge and I'll give you money for the fuel , we had no cash on us when buddy ran down for it .
As for conditions , we are parking at the 6 km switch back some went up farther . Trail is gravel patches on the sunny spots mixed with snow . Conditions today were pretty awesome blue skies about 10-15 cm of fresh , all tracks where covered. Deeper in win loaded areas .
Great day
Took a few pics

Rode Allan on Friday, had about 10 - 15 cm of fresh, only a few up there, first 3 km of trail was in mud to dirt condition... but still worth the ride up top!

Anybody ride Allan or Chappell Friday - how was it?

Sorry, for the lack of updates although we have not been out too much lately as we are quickly losing access to most of the areas. Certainly not a typical year. VARDA ended our grooming operations 40days prior to our last groom the previous season and we are all feeling the affects.

Thank you all for riding Valemount this year. VARDA along with the entire Valemount community appreciate the benefits that recreational snowmobiling brings to our community and we will continue to strive to make Valemount one of your favorite areas for mountain snowmobiling. VARDA has a busy summer ahead of us dealing with all of the water issues this wet winter has caused, major trail brushing and repair and hopefully the construction of a mountain bike trail facility here in Valemount (yes we are open in summer too :p)

I will try to update as much as possible over the next few weeks although they will be not be all that often. If you are out and about, please share your information so we can all get a better idea of what is going on out there.

Trucks with decks can make the 8km mark on the Clemina Trail. You should still expect to ride substantial patches of gravel from this point. Mainly from the 10km bridge to 11km. After this is "smooth" sailing ;) The Dixon glacier will be open for snowmobiling on April 17th.

Allen Creek is not recommended as mentioned earlier unless you do not mind 4km of mud / gravel from the staging area as trucks cannot make it anywhere worth while up the trail. Please remember that the area known as the "back way" in is through a Caribou Closure and the RCMP have been notified to monitor this spot. We need compliance folks.... VARDA has been discussing options with the Ministry of Environment for years top try and get this route open after grooming operations cease although we need compliance to prove that we can managed this...

Chappell / Keyhole / Westridge / Dave Hentry etc all have very rough access at this time.

Please remember that Valemount is open in the summer too! For any questions relating to our summer activities please call me at 250-566-4817 or visit Home | Valemount and Area Recreation Development Association or Tourism Valemount

Ride safe.

Just wondering where the mountain bike facility is planned for. Sounds like it would be sweet

A little update from Summit River Lodge , we had a crew ride Clemina yesterday afternoon reporting that it was snowing hard at supper time , the precipitation continued through the night down here as rain . At 7:30 this morning it looked like it was clearing off up there and could see a snow line at apprx 4-5000 feet , then the clouds set in and starting snowing pretty hard down low

We are offering Spring Speacial of $99 which includes accomadations , home cooked breakfast and supper and packed lunch .
