I’ve notice a few units for sale by owner that are still well within break in. Is there added value if it’s in a store over a guys garage?

A lot of dealers leave their used/uncrated holdovers outside in the elements.Absolutely.
Stored inside, heated -- means it got thawed out regularly and didn't live it's whole life in the sun or as an ice cube.
Also value in enclosed trailered vs sled deck vs v nose.
Wow, they wanted you to pay out of pocket for a brand new sled that started on fire? Oil lines are a wear item, maybe you wore them out and caused the problem yourself. What a joke.
Ha good luck.I picked up a dealer demo with 600k on it. Third trip it died on the hill. Dealer says absolutely its still under warranty so bring it in and we will figure it out. I'm sure they are optimistic because i've lead them to believe its an electrical issue.
Anyway, i'm heading back to BC on Friday to meet the chopper to fly it out. My question is, should warranty cover the cost of the chopper to get a mountain sled off of the mountain? ( assuming the problem is found to be a warrantable issue)

Unless it's a problem that you and the dealer have identified in advance and they told you to run it.
See if they will let you sit on the sled for the flight out........I won't be running it. It will be assisted by a Bell Jet Ranger 206 :-(
To each their own - I've had wayyy less problems with my Cats then I've had with my wife's Pro or my previous Doo's. I think all of them have there strong / weak points, but I've never had to tow out my Cats yet.

Your in box is about to get hammered.
where did you end up going?Took sled to a proper dealer. Warranty claim put in and approved in less than 24 hours. Don't do business with dealers that SUCK.
