Starting to feel the same way.Had a small oil leak/electrical fire on new sled. Dealership made me fill out 3 pages of useless paperwork and initially steered to no warranty repairs. I laughed and told manager that yeah I didn't feel like riding that day so tossed paper soaked in gas and lit a match. Asking me question on what lead to failure, told him I ain't a mechanic.I ride it, you fix it sounds about right with warranty.Picking it up tomorrow so will see the verdict.

I think there is more to this story then we are lead to believe.
Your sled doesn't run cooking cooking oils, motor oils require at least 1000deg to flash. You can throw a match in, even try to torch motor oil and you'ed be amazed how much torching you need to do before things light's up. The small electrical current from a sled electrical system will never set a sled on fire, unless there is fuel involved. Like a fuel line. But generally a fuel line that blow's and creates a fire has nothing to do with the electrical causing it. Its the fuel hitting the exhaust. It's been my experience that a large majority of sled's fires are people forgetting the park brake on, then driving away, that can cause a sled to burn down. I have seen one go down this way and a few other's cause alot of internal damage. You don't have to go far and belt's don't always slip on the 2 step levers.

Oh turns out I dropped my sled off for a warranty claim. Dealer says "nope, not covered" and asks for me to pay out of pocket for fix. Call the manufacturers customer service line and guess what? No claim was put in. What a crooked dealer.

I bought 2015 sp last year 600k on it with lots of extras 9750. That's BC pricing with all the crap dollars added to it to get it on the snow.

I'm going there this morning to ask for my money back as they charged me 70 dollars to pull the primary clutch. I left it on so they could see that was the clutch that was associated with that machine. Will see how they handle it.

I don't get why dealers fight warrenty claims. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Spoke to the dealer on the phone. Came to the conclusion that I ride too hard to have warranty. He said I must be "pinned all the time" (LOL). Polaris has no record of my sled ever being at this dealer, so I guess I'll try again. If you have to know the dealer I'll say it in PM.

Cat was years of oversupplied ****ty sleds that got liquidated this year. Good deals forsure, but that has come to an end.

Your buddies payed over list prices (17k) for their 2017 G4's?
To each their own - I've had wayyy less problems with my Cats then I've had with my wife's Pro or my previous Doo's. I think all of them have there strong / weak points, but I've never had to tow out my Cats yet.

Ouch, when I went to snowcheck a 17 it was $15,500 for a 165" 3" pull start plus tax. But I guess you add estart and a few other doo dats and you can be a $17.5 pretty fast.
+250 for blue, +$750 for shot, +$750 for 175", plus $180 for spare belt, etc

Hopefully you can get it sorted out, i feel your pain.

Hold overs or low km sleds are hard to beat. I've found with sled modifications mainly turbos warranty always went out the window so you wait pick something that seems problem free and go from there. Buying new like any vehicle seems like a good idea at the time but your taking a lot on the chin for that new model. I also don't understand why legit warranty claims are not automatic dealer gets labour money and a happy customer that will probably re buy.

These dealers have had it to good for too long while the economy was booming and the rig pigs and fort Mac crowds would walk in and drop cash on the counter.

Store hours are shat for the working man, warranty’s getting rejected, half the time the receptionist at the front desk don’t even lift their heads to acknowledge you walked into the store. Then Get an attitude like they are doing us customers a favour just for being open. Just my opinion. Lol.

New or used? The age old question. Having someone else take the depreciation hit or are you buying someone else's completely thrashed POS. I buy new and keep them for... well ... ever really Still have a 95 Indy 500 SKS I bought used in1996 and it still runs great. It was stock and still is so that is one of my criteria if shopping used. Mods beyond a wrap and a can would be a pass for me. Lots of low mileage stuff to choose from in this category.

Lethbridge Honda is the dealer. Looks bad for them to say warranty declined and then Polaris has no record of a claim. Guess it’s easier to just lie right to someone’s face.

That sucks. Looks like when a guy finds a good dealer he better stick with them and buy as much as possible from them. I’ve been lucky and won’t be changing anytime soon even if the sled costs a few hundred more up front.

You’re 100% right. I bought 4 sleds from pincher creek John Deere dealer and had excellent service. Very sad that they don’t carry Polaris anymore.

Holy cow....that is unreal. Yeah I agree that warranty is a joke. They will look for any reason at all to deny it. Id say I ride fairly hard. Went out with my dealership one time and after that they wouldnt warranty anything. Friggin joke.
