Starting to feel the same way.Had a small oil leak/electrical fire on new sled. Dealership made me fill out 3 pages of useless paperwork and initially steered to no warranty repairs. I laughed and told manager that yeah I didn't feel like riding that day so tossed paper soaked in gas and lit a match. Asking me question on what lead to failure, told him I ain't a mechanic.I ride it, you fix it sounds about right with warranty.Picking it up tomorrow so will see the verdict.
I think there is more to this story then we are lead to believe.
Your sled doesn't run cooking cooking oils, motor oils require at least 1000deg to flash. You can throw a match in, even try to torch motor oil and you'ed be amazed how much torching you need to do before things light's up. The small electrical current from a sled electrical system will never set a sled on fire, unless there is fuel involved. Like a fuel line. But generally a fuel line that blow's and creates a fire has nothing to do with the electrical causing it. Its the fuel hitting the exhaust. It's been my experience that a large majority of sled's fires are people forgetting the park brake on, then driving away, that can cause a sled to burn down. I have seen one go down this way and a few other's cause alot of internal damage. You don't have to go far and belt's don't always slip on the 2 step levers.
