What in the actual Fuc& happened there? I’ve wrecked a lot of motors over the years, even punched the odd rod through but I have never seen anything like that. Well done sir
I donno, that's a couple pictures of a 850 motor for bob.

If you look up in the thread you can see actual pictures of mine.

Buy a sled and then turn around and sell it for $1000-2000 less.

Where are you renting sled for $285 per day?

Any place in revy would rent a sled to me for 2000$ a week.

Doesn't matter to me though. If buying a sled last minute to ride for a week works better for you then right on.

I can get a sled for free haha but that is beside the point. what I meant to say was they would rent you a sled for 2000$ call around and ask. Bet someone would for sure. Lots of compitition on rentals out there. If you arent interested in that option then what ever, just making a suggestion.

Dan makes a good point. Talked to Kert at Infinite couple weeks ago and he said the rental game is super saturated there right now. Lots of private guys renting through Mark as well as Full Speed, Glacier and others. I would think a guy could deal on a 7 day gig.

The ctec-2 is direct injection so it does not rely on the fuel as a transport for the oil. Air velocity is the only thing that will atomize the oil.

The ctec oil is thinner for that exact reason, to atomize easier in cold temperatures.

When the piston goes up the negative pressure in the crank case sucks the oil in. And as the piston comes back down the air is compressed and forced into the cylinder.

If your reeds were not intact and did not seal the crank case. They could have caused not all of the injected oil to be sucked into the engine and cylinder. The piston coming back down would force some of the oil out the intake, and suck back in exhaust which has no oil left in it.

If the throttle bodies, and area around the reeds are very thick with oil that would support my theory.

This is of course speculation. Looking at the crankshaft itself, there is no blueing on the crank, which would indicate that it was not the crank that caused the initial failure. More then likely the top end seizing from friction, and the momentum of the crank at 8200rpm pulled the connecting rod.

The high speed run, and the track dragging would also try to keep the engine rotating with your clutches fully engaged.

During break in the oil to gas ratio is 3 times the normal rate for 20 minutes, and then for the following 5.75 hours it is still increased. The pump is inside the oil tank and it is electronically controlled.

Lund feel free to criticize my theory. I’m always looking to learn more myself.

ctec injects straight to the combustion chamber but also into the case through a slot in the piston skirt. Pretty innovative design but complicated, I'm not surprised it might take a while to work out some bugs.

Not a new design at all, the ctec 600 is in its 6th year of production

Thanks! I always like to know what’s going on in there. But again, it’s not directly atomizing into the fuel, it still has to get into the airstream before hand, it doesn’t have the fuel diluting it right from the oil injection tip.

I picked up my ‘19 hardcore from my dealer today.

Saw the above and sent it to him.

This is was his reply.

Reflash came out this afternoon. No big deal in yours at all. Had some hot 18's... flame shooters
Still, takes 2 seconds to flash.

We always add a cap full of isopropyl achohol to the tank at fill up to help with water. Keeps the injectors from freezing too I was told.
