Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Thanks! Sled worked great, too bad we missed each other. Neck held up good, however my Knee not so much! Another year plagued with injuries for me I guess? SlimeR flipped over backwards on one of those whip flip re entry things and landed on my knee upside down pinned me and hyperextended my knee. Showed me who was the boss. Had me screaming like a little dyke biotch!!

That sux. Do you have vid with the screaming sound? I’m a bitch when I’m in pain also. Just a cold and I need chicken noodle soup and cuddles.

Bizzump. Riding slimer or a new build this year?

Long story short my “hyperextended knee” from my one and only ride last year turned out to be a stage II tear of my ACL, PCL, and MCL as well as a broken femur!! Needless to say I never rode again last year.

It wasn’t for sale but I accepted a very healthy offer on SlimeR from a friend who knew I was out for the season just before the C19 started up and then the deal fell through a few short weeks later when C19 turned to be a thing. Which didn’t hurt my feelings one bit as I we had unfinished business together

My leg and knee feels pretty good now I’d say I’m a close 95%? I have a custom set of Mobius knee braces that I will be wearing this season

I will be running SlimeR again this year. I should prob get up to the shop and get it ready to go. Standby for updates. I have a few goodies that never ended up on the sled last year that I will be installing right away

Finally found some time to work on my sled today. SlimeR got a Powder Freaks Head, BDX Y-Pipe, Dalton weights, and a 2.5deg timing bump. The head is a piece of art. Super clean, fit and finish is 100% - Great quality product. I cant say the same about the BDX Y Pipe I was super disappointed with the quality. Spent a hour cleaning up the welds on the inside of the pipe, and getting it to fit properly. They did a good job at matching the 50mm cylinder port on the ctech cylinders though and is the reason why I went with this y pipe. It did clean up pretty good, after I got in there with the right tools, but for the price I feel this should have been cleaned up before sending out the door. All 3 Dalton weights were bang on 67g and profiles were smooth and cut proper as always. The stock Cat weights I took out are stamped 70g but 2 out of the 3 weighed 71g and the 3rd weight weighed 71.4g typical of cat though I’ve never had 3 weigh the same.

Looks great E-Z? Have you had SlimeR out this season? Just wondering how you like your barcode front end?

No lol not enough snow yet. Needs a couple more feet before I’ll be heading out.

I found the same with my bdx y pipe, was very disappointed in the quality of craftsmanship, id expect that from a cheaper brand like d&d but cmon, take the extra half hour and make your product how it should be, i spent about an hour doing the same as you

Been considering the same mods. I put the Y-pipe on already and have a timing key on the bench. Pickup up some clutching this week and hoping I'll be happy with that or I am looking at Duane's head as well.

What are you guys trying to get for RPM with the BDX Y-Pipe? Mine came with a note to try to run around 7900, but I'm skeptical.

I'm aiming higher. On the old flash my Alpha ripped hardest around 8250. I had to get the new flash when they replaced my motor so I'll see where it likes to be.

I’ll be aiming for 8100 with the timing bump, I’m hoping with the timing bump it will move that peak HP up a little bit. The head and the y pipe both make most of there gains in the mid range. I don’t want the peak HP to fall early before 8000 is my reasoning on the timing bump. I’m guessing that’s why BDX says to run at 7900 because the HP falls off the curve at that point? The only true way to find out is to get this combo on the dyno which I do have intentions of getting it on the PowderFreaks dyno as soon as I get some time to get it out there. Most of the dyno runs I’ve seen on the ctech peak HP is 8100-8200 stock, and then drops down to 8000-8100 with a pipe/head combo, head dyno run was 8000 peak and then drops even more with just a y pipe down to 7900. I’ll report back when I get it on the snow but for now I clutched for 8100 I set my weights at 73.3g for a base starting point and will fine tune from there. Hoping between the 3 it should have enough gains to pull 3g’s heavier...hoping to get it out soon to see what she can do

I'm running the y-pipe with PEFI reflash and the SSI clutch kit. 73.1g seems to be working well for me at the moment, although I discovered that my munster throttle and CFR bars with ODI grips and cork under the heaters made it so I wasn't hitting WOT when I hit the bars. I won't know until the next trip to the hills how much more RPM and track speed I'll see after tightening that up.

Awesome great to know I wasn’t too far off with my 73g guess, do you know if the PEFI flash adds timing? I’m going to guess it does? What are your RPM’s with the 73g’s in?

I'm not entirely sure on the timing. I bought the sled with the ECU reflash. I just reached out to precision EFI to get more info. They claim target rpm is 7900 and the tuning adds 8hp.

I honestly wasn't paying enough attention to notice the peak RPM this weekend. Was having too much fun. All I know is that it felt great, and was pulling better than the stock machines in the group.

My wife and I will be out in 2 weeks, and I'll be able to test better then. We have identical machines, except hers is stock. I could feel an immediate difference between the two last weekend when we were out together, but there was too much powder in McBride to see the gauges.

My 18 mountain cat was screaming hard at 8100-8200 before the latest cat flash and now it’s a dog at 7900-8000. I’m hoping the pefi flash gets me back to that 8100-8200 range.

Precision EFI says the ideal engine speed is 7900 with their tune, and that you should adjust clutching for that.
