The cork works because it prevents the aluminum bars from absorbing the heat from the heaters. Foam inside the bars has minimal effect because the bars still absorb the heat. At least steel is a less effective thermal conductor than aluminum, so steel bars don't suck as much heat.haven't done it yet. I always had doo's with cork but my Cat doesn't and it's easier to spray foam the bars than peel heaters off to add cork. I'll report back after. I'm not expecting much but for $6 I'll try it.
