We are coming out for sure, she even said so.
Got her new spring installed yesterday so will be suspension tuning for her the rest of the season. LOL

I still have that picture in my mind of her climbing that, "to the left, to the right, OMG". At that moment i added more grey to my greyness. For you of course it makes no difference LOL.

Yup, I can still see her climbing too...... And I'm sure I felt one of my mustache brown hairs turn grey at that moment too!

Well another beauty day of riding. So pumped the shock to 200 psi to see the extreme difference. Definitely helped...wasn’t bottoming. Tried a few short steep climbs and keeps the skis planted. Had my son with so didn’t want to get to crazy.

I rode a 18 cat for a bit on Saturday...really liked the feel of it ...which was familiar. It was very nimble and could tell there is weight difference in the spring like snow conditions....but I don’t think I could go back. Not having that 4s torque and power was very different. I absolutely want that controllable Power the SW has....plus it’s reliable day in day out.

What i I did not like on mine the last 2 days of spring riding was the track. The 9271m it pretty soft and doesn’t hook up at all in the colder spring conditions on hard pack. Now I realize a 3” track is less than ideal in non powder situations. 2.5 camo extreme may be a better overall track unless it’s handle bar deep every ride. Almost need to run 2 tracks.

Hows the 9115 174 in the hard pack conditions? Was hoping for 174 power claw for next year.


Also could really tell some clutching needs to be done. Was on the rev limiter and could feel I was way out of the power curve. Never noticed it in the deep days. Riding at 6500-7200 ft so a steel rivet in the tip is required. Or try different weight as other have had great performance gains.

The 9115M is what i use, its a very stiff lugged track and on firm surfaces or heavy wet will not fold like the others, it is really the only track that works on a turbo 4stroke. Hookup is intense, that is why i use it and Chad uses it on his builds and no other track's. It is a 16 wide track though and needs to be cut, it's only available as a 16".
Now, the problem is and last i heard they are no longer available. This is when i got mine i got the last one from the ware house back east and Chad brought it in for me and informed me of this.
BUT, i did look it up on Camso web site and it shows it, so maybe it is available still and maybe mine was last season's last 9115M in stock left.

They are a very aggressive lug with virtually no forgiveness on harder snow so it can be a handful, don't expect it to be easy to spin, it will hookup so you need to be ready for it. Braking is AWESOME, will almost put you over the bar, it is a rough riding track though.

The PC is too soft for your sled, works good on lighter smaller power 2 strokes only.

I'm surprised you haven't thrown weight at that sled yet, they are clutched way to light...you need to unleash the beast in her.

I do the same thing at time's will trade sled with a buddy or wife. Rode my wife 17 Cat 800 and my buddies 18 Cat 800 several times.
Rode my other buddies G4 the other day, it doesn't last very long and it quickly become apparent.
Give me my sled back and take your boring sled back. The fun factor rings no bell here.

Though the other day i did ride a turbo Polaris, not bad, a little shy on the grunt and torque but otherwise the bell could ring on that.

so your combo is 8lr-00 loaded up with 4.5g(17.2mm) rivets? 72.05g

stock 8kc-00 with 4.5 , 4.5 , 3.1 g 54.62g

Yes that's it, on my scale it's 73.5g total. The profile is very aggressive and so far been working flawlessly, over 1000km and belt looks like new, no belt dust and clutches are running normal temps. back shift is solid.

Its the same spring, no changes there. I seldom change out springs on a sled unless i want to lower the engagement and if the weight don't lower it then i would change it.
When i set clutches its always weights and cam's, then i adjust spring pressure if needed, in this case it wasn't needed.

The engagement speed was lowered from 4,000 to 3,000rpm's, i prefer lower engagement.

Mine had an aluminum rivet as well. Drilled out n replaced with steel 3.5g. Pulls 8800rpm now instead of 9100. But I also picked up a set of btx weights like Lund has that I would like to try next trip.

My BTX never came with these weights, atleast mine didn't, it came with the 8KC00 weights in the crate. The 8LR00 was an optional tuning weight, it is offered in both BTX and MTX. But most dealer's never bothered changing them out to the optional weight and left the 8KC00 in them.

My self, i alway's run the heaviest weights the motor will pull, so it was the first change i did.

I will be doing a gear swap for next season once i have the MCX on. Currently running the 21/49=2.33
Going with 24/50=2.08 that is my goal ratio.
That ratio with the MCX 250 i expect we will see 70+mph track speeds. I'm already shifting out my clutches with the current ratio's so even with the MCX with current gear's i doubt i'ed gain much other then harder acceleration.

Just changing my track to a 9115m extreme. Didn’t notice if the speed sensor/magnets was sticking out but looks like it was rubbing ....So it appears these magnets just sit in the plug not glued or anything.

Now thats interesting about the speed sensor.
Question, you manage to get a 9115M? Is Camso still making them?
