Bleeding is not over but this thread is two years old now and we have one year to go. Recovery will be slow. There has been a lot of change, but at least most of it is behind us.

Oil and gas is the biggest part of the Canadian economy and a significant contributor to the US. It will be back. There is no practical energy replacement for the near or distant future.

It'll be back, just not like it was. A replacement doesn't have to be practical or economical to replace O&G as long as there is retards in federally and provincially that are willing to spend tax dollars to support it.
Time to cash out and open a bait and beer shop in Thailand.
My money is on starting up a Halal meat shop...should be profitable with our new citizens.
Oil and and gas less than have a century ago was non existent and people still lived and raised family's so I don't thing it's the biggest economy, comming from the ag side I would have to say we are not far off, but yes oil and gas have a big part in it..

How many bushels per month to heat a house Freddo? Without O&G nobody lives north of Arizona.
