Shows the danger of splitting the vote again 200 votes diff.

pray people don’t make this mistake in Oct with Bernier.

That idiot is going to do serious damage in October.
Eastern Trudeau haters will vote for him before PC.
I hate these sideshow clowns...

Blame it on West Lethbridge that voted for her

Look at the voters for the AB party in that area, and for the whole province for that matter. If there was no split conservative vote, and they voted UPC than there would of been alot less NDP seats period in our province. Those AB party voters chose to throw their vote away.

Already some very vocal people on this forum who don’t get it and have expressed desire to possibly vote for Bernier.

I'm pretty sure his vote will be cancelled out anyways. Alberta will be as blue as a smurfs azz the night of the election. If it isn't then I'm pretty sure the beginning of the apocalypse will be upon us.

You're probably right! It may not mean much here in Alberta, I think the close votes will be in other provinces.

If you look at the provincial election, many of the NDP winning seats were very close but Mandel's Alberta party split the vote. Without that vote split, NDP would have only got 1/2 the seats or less than they did...especially in Edmonton....many of those counts were quite close.

So if Bernier causes split voting in places where the votes really count...Quebec & Ontario.....it's 4 more years of Trudeau.....

hmm as it stands right now, i haven't made my mind up, and until that time i will look at both sheer and bernier, the elected federal party is decided in ontario and quebec. so those who know whom i may be voting for must be psychics, seeing into the future!!!!

A good example of vote splitting is the wicked witch from the west (of Lethbridge) getting in because of the Alberta Party splitting the UCP vote. Vote for who you want to but don't complain if we have a Trudeau government for another 4 years.

Yuppers,,, the pan handle of Ontario and most of Quebec will vote liberal since Mr Shear is not their man...

That and they don't like him or the party that Mr H left behind...

They said Harper was bullish and became everything that the liberals were... They didn't mind his fiscal spending,,,.but they were not Keen on his closed door policies...

Even if the Conservatives get in,,, they won't be able to do anything since the NDP,,, Liberals,,, and Max's Peoples Party will snuff anything they would want to table...

Yuppers... Gray skies ahead my friends,,, dark Gray skies ahead...

that is Democracy in action!!!!
i lay the blame at the feet of those that didn't vote!!
there still is close to 30% of eligible voters that did not vote. and you blame it on those that voiced there opinion and voted, BAD IDEA!
As far as im concerned that is were the problem sits.

Canada needs a strong leader NOW! enough of the feminist, milk toast, fruit loop commie BS in my opinion.

anyway, which provinces do you think Scheer has the best chance at winning, or which will Trudy have best chance to retain?

No one is blaming you for voting, we're just saying VOTE SMART. Make your vote count. Those that voted for Mandels's Alberta party team, knowing that they would not win was just a vote for Notley's team because it split the vote on the right. Look at the facts....Lyin Shannon Phillips is back in for a second term because of vote splitting....

And a 70% turnout in any election is a very good turnout.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what he says. Not trying to be an azz Larry but Cat summed it up. It frustrates the hell out of me hearing people say they are making a stand with a guy that has ZERO chance of winning the election. I'm also sick of French politicians and their stellar history of corruption. I'll take a good ole boy from Sasky any day of the week over a French fry. Like I said vote for BERNIER if it makes you warm and fuzzy. I'm going to waste my vote cancelling yours.

Totally agree. Surprising some are still so naive. Or maybe a sort of cry for attention ???

hmm 70 % is a good turn out for an election yes, but im sure we can doo better

19 October 2015- population roughly 34 million population, 25,939 ,742 eligible voters, 17,711,983 people who cast votes =68.3 percentage of population who voted.

that leaves roughly 8.3 million people who didn't vote. and you are some how happy with that?

the ones responsible for the situation we are in are the none voters, those that vote at least vote there feelings. at the very least they voted. and that is the way i look at it.

I'm not happy that everyone does not vote but that's real life....don't know why some people don't get to the polls. Out of the country, sick/bedridden, lazy, ....???

All I said is 70% is very good statistically....usually the percentage is a lot lower.

I will say this. I’m not sure if the mentality has changed to this degree fully, but I talked to lots of people in the last month that out right told me that there not voting cause they do not agree with any of the party’s, leaders or ideas. When asked about “can’t bitch if you don’t vote” they all said the same thing. It’s 2019. Get with the times. Don’t vote just so you can bitch. That mindset was a lot more noticible this vote I found.
