yup, if you don't vote you get what the people who voted voted for. not everyone agrees with everything a political party says or stands for, there is little chance on agreeing with what everyone says, but if you can find common ground it may be a good fit. unless Ontario and Quebec has an epiphany and votes Trudy out, there will never be much of a change.

going to be an interesting run up to October.

I think that conservative provincial governments that have been voted in provincially lately might help sway the vote for Scheer. And hopefully the NDP and Liberals split the vote as well allowing the Conservatives to win. Will be interesting to see either way.

I know you think that voter turnout should be higher, but do you really think the last 30% of the population is informed enough to make the right choice? In my experience I think its best if the last 30% just stay home.

i agree with the provincial conservative elected. I would say the radicals, and those who always vote are in the first 30% . The second30 % are PO 'd at something , with new voters and those wanting change making up this group. The last 30% just don't vote, the trick would be to find out why and see if they could be motivated.
the way i see it 30% of the population are running this country and they are mostly wack -a -moles. Plus now there are a few million foreign non citizens being able to vote on how this country will run.

i'm seeing a multitude of problems on the horizon? we need a strong federal leader more than ever, to get us back on track.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what he says. Not trying to be an azz Larry but Cat summed it up. It frustrates the hell out of me hearing people say they are making a stand with a guy that has ZERO chance of winning the election. I'm also sick of French politicians and their stellar history of corruption. I'll take a good ole boy from Sasky any day of the week over a French fry. Like I said vote for BERNIER if it makes you warm and fuzzy. I'm going to waste my vote cancelling yours.

please!!!! explain to me how my vote will cancel yours, your thinking is bit foggy here Ken!

i'm interested right now in what the potential conservative prime ministers have to say, i will stand by that. you nor anyone here have any idea whom i am voting for. so give that chit up, i'm interested in what Scheer has to say, Bernier also. i'm looking for conversation not Bully tactics to get people to submit! The real reason i liked Kenny, facts and a plan that i can get behind.

A good example of vote splitting is the wicked witch from the west (of Lethbridge) getting in because of the Alberta Party splitting the UCP vote. Vote for who you want to but don't complain if we have a Trudeau government for another 4 years.

wow! i had no idea i was responsible for the outcome of canada with my one vote? i will have to think about this,

no election has been called yet? not even sure who the candidates are yet? lots of time yet, 6 months or so!.

calm down, no election has been called yet? not even sure who the candidates are yet? lots of time yet, 6 months or so!.

Not sure why you are bent out of shape over this, im sure you have not forgotten what happened in the 2015 provincial election???? It also happened on a much smaller scale on this election, the seats The NDP have right now would of been reduced.
This upcoming federal election, Looks like it could happen as well, PEI is looking at going green party.
Facts are not fear mongering, there is too many damn parties to vote for.
I would not be surprised if Trudeau got in again with potential vote splitting.

having just 2 parties to vote for doesn't really give a person much of a choice. red or blue what's it going to be this time. no wonder people just stay home.

hmm, federal election will be decided before our polls are closed, really not much sense in getting excited.

people down east are not excited about Scheer, he needs to get angry and hold trudy's fingers to the fire. just my opinion.

currently in Alberta there are 4 Liberal MP's, two in Calgary, two in Edmonton......for the representation Trudeau gives us, THAT IS FOUR SEATS TOO MANY! Come this October, that Liberal number needs to be ZERO!!!

haha, i'm sure it just don't work that way for a reason, what you are suggesting is the way Trudy wants to see it, only he being the one you can vote for.

No one is blaming you for voting, we're just saying VOTE SMART. Make your vote count. Those that voted for Mandels's Alberta party team, knowing that they would not win was just a vote for Notley's team because it split the vote on the right. Look at the facts....Lyin Shannon Phillips is back in for a second term because of vote splitting....

And a 70% turnout in any election is a very good turnout.

so you are telling me what to do? interesting.

Geez, man....you're just milking this thing dry aren't you....chill out....All I ever said was vote smart! A vote for a startup party is more than likely splitting the vote....
...its a free country...do what you think is best

No.
Cat and everyone else is saying that Phillips got in because of vote splitting by a go nowhere party.
Trudeau is going to be a shoe in because of vote splitting.
Sorry to burst bubbles but federally there will be no PC majority.
Some times you need to vote smart and support the party even if your local guy is an idiot.
Canada has been severely damaged and can not withstand another 4 years of our wing nut leader.
Vote splitting will insure another 4 years.
That is voting to win a personnel battle but most certainly not the war.
You want Twinkle Toes in again......then take part in the vote splitting........
That is long and short of voting federally this go round.
