Might have to if there is some demand.Have you considered making a punch out of a short section of pipe and using a press?

Will let you know when I get this one finished. See if I can get the time down to make it somewhat affordable. I heard one shop charged a guy $2000 to cut and clip his track which is just ridiculous.Niner how much you
Charge me to do an alpha track like that?
Best powder track I’d say. Not sure I’d spend the money to put one on my turbo R though. When I was a little younger, I might. The alpha tracks are that good? I thought doo was the one to beat?
The Alpha track performs really well for a couple reasons. It’s 15” wide all the way to the tips where other tracks taper to the tip. It’s as wide as the doo 16” wide at the tips. The alpha tracks are that good? I thought doo was the one to beat?
I'm sure one of the Doolaide faithful (maxwell) will be along shortly to dispute this information. The Alpha track performs really well for a couple reasons. It’s 15” wide all the way to the tips where other tracks taper to the tip. It’s as wide as the doo 16” wide at the tips.
And the lug design grabs bigger chunks of snow than a track with multiple paddles.

Doo might have a track to beat if it would hold together long enough. After a few seasons you only have 2/3rds of the lugs! The alpha tracks are that good? I thought doo was the one to beat?

I would guess that 98% of track failures are operator error. Low snow and going over 60 mph on groomed trails destroy any brand of track.Doo might have a track to beat if it would hold together long enough. After a few seasons you only have 2/3rds of the lugs!
Poor trail conditions don’t help either. Still dirt down low. Tree riding and spinning over stumps and logs can’t be good either but it’s the tracks fault lol. You are right Curtis. Mostly operator error.I would guess that 98% of track failures are operator error. Low snow and going over 60 mph on groomed trails destroy any brand of track.
Chrisco tried one on a turbo, at higher hp/torque lugs fold faster than Cat/Textron.put that cat track on a 190hp snowmobile not a 100hp snowmobile and it aint lasting any longer
That was a powerclaw, not a alpha track.Chrisco tried one on a turbo, at higher hp/torque lugs fold faster than Cat/Textron.
Good for NA though.
That's how we used to do it. Sharpen the edges of the tubing and use the press. Works awesome! I've fully clipped a pile of tracks by cutting the windows this way.Might have to if there is some demand.
