Ok so here it is so far:
Talked to Randy at RPM and agree with you all this isnt his problem but he has offered to help out with a deal on fixing it. Sounds like he really wants to help so in my mind he seems like a stand up guy.
Talked to 162Wizzy over emails and he is really trying to help out. He is sending the work order and stuff to me so I have it to fight with Gerry at Martin. Also seems to be a pretty stand up guy. I believe he thought the sled was in good working order when he sold it to me.
As for Martin.....I wont know till I get the chance to talk to them.
All of this is pointless till I get the motor checked and am sure of the cause.
You may want to watch how you handle that too....if its anyone other than Martin and if you get someone else to pull it all down you may take a chance on them telling you that they won't touch it now its all tore apart....touchy situation....hope it all turns out for ya.....been there....not fun!
lol yeah true enough..also take any mods off your sled lol.....THATS THE PROBLEM!!!! IN DEALER MIND
fox shocks? blew the motor. no joke ive heard some weird stuff. anything to move the blame.
Don't pull anything off the sled...... Talk to gerry, as he is a good guy.... One of the few at any dealership that seems to care about each individual sled!!! Just my 2 cents
yeah if you bought it off him:d
to each his own. Glad you got good service
hope this guy does too.
sounds like you have everyone pulling for you thats involved...including the gentlemen you bought it from.... and the gentlemen who assembled the engine....before you do anything...I would give Martin a call and see where you go from there....deal with it fairly in giving Martin the first shot and see where it goes from there...I've been in this same situation (not with this party thou)and we tore the engine apart and that pretty much cascaded the problem to , "well....sucks to be you because you took it upon yourself to pull it down and now you bring it in...in boxes?" The other party knew we didn't do anything crafty but it was an out for them.... so yeah....I bought an engine by tearing it down to decipher what was wrong or what went wrong and never gave them a chance to give it their first opinion I guess....not saying your situation is the same....but give them the opportunity to rectify the situation as obviously you have others that will help you out if nothing is gained or you fail with your first attempt. I can also see the other side as if you do walk in with an engine that grenaded and you are looking for help...often their hands are tied...they want to pull it down and see what happened themselves....walking into a shop like I once did with an engine tore down left me with nothing even thou they said , "Yeah....feel for ya...but where did all these parts come from.?" just to give you an idea....not saying anything bad about anyone involved...just give "EVERYONE involved a chance and form a decent plan....still hope it all works out OK for ya....just some advice from someone who's been there....and I'm probably not alone! Very delicate situation without a doubt....
