Never had the pleasure, when we were tearing out the TCV's they had these old girls driving DeLaval centrifugal compressors via that big azz speed increaser you see in the pic.

Yuck, I still have sore arms from doing mains in place on those.
Working on a big IR right now, 5" piston rods. A 9.5" piston/rod assembly tips the rods at 1600lbs. I'd almost do a K frame Ariel right now for free.
