Here's one that's a little more Yamahaish.

Just finished. Panther went back up Tues. Finished a few odds and ends at Caroline Wed.
Houred out now taking my mandated 4 days off.
I heard those Harmattan HOS's were eating rings here and there?

Yup. had to send out a cylinder the the other week for repair. tried to get them to look in to cause of problem but they kinda got the old iron attitude of fix it when its broke if ya know what i mean. couldnt make any headway on em to put some thought into. drives me nuts but they keep payin i guess. not just one unit either 2 of em for sure

They just ordered another unit, salesman from the packager called me last week about the ring problem as it was brought up during the negotiations. Liner collapse in the middle?

Couldnt say for sure. they tore the thing apart and got us to put it back together.the rings were gone and piston contacted cylinder. one check valve was sticky in lube system but it never flagged on it.

Thats quite the boring machine you have on Pic 3! Did you sleave the bearing surface or used a bigger bearing?

Bearing for clutch sits in crankshaft. over time wears the crank. remove clutch. install tool. start engine. machine. install sleeve. good as new.

I don't think there is a tougher engine made than an Arrow. Some of the things I've seen them put through would have killed a Lister or some of the auto junk you see driving PJ's these days.
