I spent a couple of days in Manhattan. ...very short time to take in even a fraction of what's there. If that's where you're headed, my advice to you is to do the Empire State building first. Yeah, yeah, I know - it's just another tall building. However, pay the 5 bucks (or so) to rent the tour device and you'll have a very different experience. The device has a numerical keypad on it that correspond to numbers on the catwalk. When you press a number, "Toni the cab driver" narrates what you are looking at, its history, what may be of interest to you. From there, you'll probably have a pretty good idea of what you want to see along with some interesting history and trivia.

Only take yellow taxi's. They are city run and operate on a flat rate basis. The other cabs seem questionable. I recommend taking the corny red double decker bus. Very informative and takes you to all major sites in Manhattan. Also take in the Metropolitan Museum, or any museum for that matter.

We're catching Oilers at Rangers, Oilers at Devils and a Brooklyn Nets game while we're there! Also taking a tour of MSG (Madison Square Garden)!

Definitely doing Empire State, I'd like to do 'Top of The Rock" too! Also want to do Lady Liberty, and a carriage tour of Central Park :)

Thanks, good to know! I'd like to do the Met and Hopefully MoMA. Will check out the double decker busses!

In addition to what was mentioned...
1. Take your skates (or rent) and do a few laps at either Rockefeller or Bryant Park
2. Grand Central Station...and experience the subway system..you'll experience people just like on Seinfeld..haha..it is cheaper and more fun that a taxi...
3. Go to Soho area for shopping
4. Saks 5th avenue (just look...I ran into Gary Bettman there when the last lock-out was going on)
5. central Park for sure
6. Time Square !!!
7. 9-11 memorial
8. NYSE area
9. have a look at Statue of Liberty from the bay, or go there
10. Brooklyn bridge
- you are so lucky to be going to MSG..you will see what a real entertainment complex looks like...Rexall is a back yard rink compared to that place.
- You have to do an observatory..either Empire (1st choice) or Rock..and plan it for a clear day (may be obvious now, but I waited and missed out)
oh ya...if you go to Rockefeller in the morning, you can see the NBC morning news and beat some of the line up to go skating.

New York is awesome..

Also, don't leave without seeing a Broadway show. It's free to see the Letterman show too if you're so inclined - I'm not a fan of the show, but I found him to be hilarious when he's joking around candidly off camera.

Nope, it's part of the experience but my review was doughy and too chewy.
That being said, while walking in Central Park...it's all good.
Only had one and didn't want another.
We say a play with Mathew Broderick, it was a lot of fun, not a great play but again, when I'm New York....

Sent from my phone ---- is anyone listening ?

Maybe try to see a Yankees game.......lol

I'm a hockey fan, through and through, it's gonna be a struggle to sit through the Nets game... I don't even think it's baseball season, is it? LOL (see... i know nothing)
