Totally agree,when i first got it i used to throw it on the trailer and go,now i ask the wife to grab an end lol.

Yup, seems my 3000 Honda gets heavier every year, it weight is a nice theft deterrent though.

I have a Honda 3000is, for 11 yrs now. Runs everything in trailer, very quiet, Super reliable, change the oil in spring, runs all night, You can have a conversation standing by the unit. It is freakin heavy, i put it in truck in spring and pull it out in fall.
It did pee me off, had to replace spark plug last year! Wtf. Went to turples and told them what i think of friggin hondas! Lol.
I would recommend 3000is.

The champion 2000, is good unit as is any yamaha gen as well. Drain the gas in fall, or fuel stabilizer in your fuel year round. I'm not a fan of ethanol

I run non ethanol fuel in all my small engines or equipment that doesn't get much use.

I bought an energizer ezv2800 a year ago and love it, will run air as long as it is not on eco mode. At 65 db is was quieter than the Honda equal and way cheaper. Paid $1000 delivered to my door from Home Depot. Electric start is nice.

BTW i was checking out the yamaha 4000w gen set as well while there. Pick that sumbitch up then pick up the inverter. I made the right choice. I don't want to ask for help every time I need to move my generator lol.

65 db at 7m is definitely not quiet, and that is likely at idle. you may need to have a hearing test? lol

Maybe. Compared to the Honda equal at the time it was about the same, it is pretty quiet. Can't here it at all when we are in the camper. Plus it has electric start and way cheaper. Has an RV plug as well.
I like it so far. Plus I am cheap.

The decibel scale us logarithmic...basically every 3 points higher, the sound energy doubles....
Something to think about when you compare 48 db to 51 or 52 db....its a huge difference.

I run the Honda 24/7 for the icemaker, Keurig and margarita maker.

Added the extra Honda gas can beside it. Runs in Eco most of the time.

Never tried the AC with it.

pretty much most of the inverter/sinewave generators are quiet, the construction ones are the ones that need to be filled with water

I'll try my best to not get voted out Wild 1, Ha.

Power plants are the way of the future it seems like.

AC, coffee maker, micro-wave, RV batteries & lights as well as heater, so many applications that its mined boggling.

Another plus for us that have them is power outage that could happen at any time,,, folks in Eastern Canada found this out the hard way when the ice storms rolled through there years ago.

Gen-sets are best-friends, they will give us luxury if things go South in the blink of an eye. I for one could never do the back-wood outings I do all year long. Genny goes where I go as it rides in pick-up full time.

Anyone have a Yamaha ef2000is generator? Thinking about getting one for my camper. Looks like it is quiet. Should work for my microwave and charging the battery when needed. I doubt it will be enough to run the ac.

Hey there, I just sold my Yamaha 2000 inverter camo last week on Kijiji, had 107hrs on it, was great for charging batteries plus watching TV etc at the same time. As a HVAC mechanic myself I would not attempt to run a A/C with it, that would require at least a 3000W to be safe depending on A/C size. It was quiet, however I recommend the 3000W simply because the housings actually have insulated panels rather than single wall plastic which makes the 3000W ones run a little quieter.
