I have a Honda 3000is and it barely runs my ac it will trip sometimes on Eco mode. If ramped it won't trip.

Have you ever had same problem with the two yammies? I was thinking of switching. The weight too is a killer.
To be completely honest, I haven't tried running the AC off them yet. My unit is a 15K BTU, we do a lot of our camping in the mountains, and spend as little time inside as possible, so almost NEVER use the AC. As a matter of fact, going into our 6th year with this RV, I can probably count on 3 fingers how many times I've used the AC. The 3300 Boliy ran it no problem tho.

6-9 weeks in Kelowna ... I run mine a bit!
Mines a 15 k at one end and 13.5 in bedroom.
It's the 15k that trips the odd time

Well I picked up the Yamaha 2000 today. Got home and tried to start it without any luck. Made dinner. Read that manual (who the fawk does that) and figured out what is what. Lol. Started up right away. Plugged the camper into it and ran the ac just fine. Nice unit.

How much did you pay for the Yamaha 2000? My wife was going to pick up a Champion 3100W at Costco this week

BTW i was checking out the yamaha 4000w gen set as well while there. Pick that sumbitch up then pick up the inverter. I made the right choice. I don't want to ask for help every time I need to move my generator lol.

That was me with my season on the Honda 3000. Beautiful gennie, and as quiet as they come, but just too damn heavy. If I had a long box truck and could load it once in the spring, and unload it in the fall, I'd likely still have it today.

That's why I bought the Honda ecu 1000 watter, Can pack in behind the drivers seat and easy to un-load at staging area.

Not getting any younger these days.

These are awesome little gensets. They are inverters and I can hook them in parallel to run the AC. I can just run one for everything else. Around 40 lbs each and super quiet. $499 on sale

Better off load some of them, or garage will be full, lol

can you start the 15 k on low?

It will start on Eco mode 6-7 X out of 10. It's not a big deal but a pia sometimes. I've always been a Honda fan but I was disappointed a little this time as I was pondering going the parallel route with the Honda 2000"s before buying the 3000.
Buddy has the 3000 Yamaha with built in wheels. I wish my Honda had that as this thing gets heavy.

I have a Honda 3000is, for 11 yrs now. Runs everything in trailer, very quiet, Super reliable, change the oil in spring, runs all night, You can have a conversation standing by the unit. It is freakin heavy, i put it in truck in spring and pull it out in fall.
It did pee me off, had to replace spark plug last year! Wtf. Went to turples and told them what i think of friggin hondas! Lol.
I would recommend 3000is.

The champion 2000, is good unit as is any yamaha gen as well. Drain the gas in fall, or fuel stabilizer in your fuel year round. I'm not a fan of ethanol
