Hey peeps just sold one of my sleds and now im stuck between 153 and 162 Proclimb I have a 011 m 153 which i like alot, my question is there a big difference between the two for flotation, yes i like to boondock but i dont think the 162 in the new chasis would be a promblem? I just never rode anything longer than a 153. Thanks in advance for all your help. Cheers everyone and be safe

I have an 07 162 and my nephew has an 09 153 Both M1000's. I jumped on his and took it for a rip and found that I was pulling it on to it's side. He's a bigger boy than I am and he said that he had a hard time to get mine to cut. I think that it's all what you get used to. I boondock with mine and don't find it a problem. I do have to admit though that the 153 is a lot easier to flick around. Would I go to a 153? No I wouldn't. In fact my new M1100T is a 162.

I don't know if this helps you or not but I thought that you might want to hear it.

I had an 06 m7 153 and just recently sold my 08 m1000 162. I didn't notice much of a difference between the two. I found that I could boondock just as easy with my 162. The m7 was obviously lighter but, I'd never go back to a 153 now. 162 or nothing. I just bought a 162 proclimb myself. Can't wait to get it out. I just hope I have no issues like the other poor fellas on here.. lol

My dealer is doing some updates on mine before they release it to me. The light switch or something on the handlebars, any of the recalls/bulletins that cat released. They're puttin a 2.5" Camo extreme on as well, so, I'll know tomorrow when it's gonna be ready for pickup. The plan is to leave fort Mac Saturday morning and pick it up, head to golden for two days. Hopefully I didn't pick out a dud. I bought the orange one, 162, just gonna exchange the orange hood for a white hcr hood and call it a day.

i hate how you had to go with a SP just to get a 162. i wanted a 162 but HATED all the green on the SP so i ended up going with the 153, now changed out with a 2.5 extreme
