I was always pleased with Radium Resort.

we always stay at the prestige. nice place, friendly service, lots of parking. it is a bit cheaper than the prestige in golden too...

Really depends what you're after, but rooms are pretty decent $ in the off season in Radium. Not too many dives left, they've all been torn down and condos built...
Like Pipes said, Resort is good and has restaurant etc and generally cheap rooms in winter...Prestige Inn will be your higher $ hotel but better rates in winter too and has pool etc and restaurant. Sledder friendly and good parking.
Lots of motels that would all serve your purpose, not sure which ones are more sledder friendly...if I find out I'll post.
