Storm didn’t drop what I thought it would. Pretty beat up around the main areas of quartz. We went up around the entrance into 51, played in trees below, some decent pockets. Heard there was good snow in 52 and further back, but we don’t know the area well and didn’t head further.

if planning a trip I’d wait to a big storm hits.

I'd agree with Merc63. We were just in Quartz today and could definently use a reload. Few rocks exposed in some areas. There are some decent pockets to hit, but overall, more is needed. Trail in was great.

Had not been in Quartz for quite some time. Just a friendly reminder that I learned today. Truck/trailers go to upper parking lot. Lower parking lot for trucks/decks. There is signage by trail pass booth to notify you of that.

More snow in Quartz than Silent currently but managed to have a decent day in each this weekend. Time for a reload!

Oh, and a special thanks to the guys that decided their garbage is better off in the box of my truck than taken home with them. Some people’s children......

Rode Gorman yesterday.

Decent snow, but a generous amount of land mines under the snow in spots. Definently better snow in Lang versus Holt. Was snowing when we left the hill last night. We parked at marker #13 with a trailer in tow. Road was hard packed and icy in a few spots, but have your GOOD winter tires with a slow pace and no worries! Most truck/trailers were parking at the first lot at marker #3.

Hope the re-load of snow is soon and furious!!

Deep in Silent today. 60-80cm of new over the last few days. Rcmp setting up at Parson bridge for checkstop around 3:30. Never stopped us but there were 3 separate Cop cars posting up at the end of road before hwy....

Parking for silent is at km 30 please don’t block the turn around for trucks with trailers the club made. There is logging at 27 they are trying not to block off

Very good comment, I was there Thursday and there were a couple trucks (with trailers) that parked right in the turn around point. Made it a bitch for anyone with a trailer to get turned around, my buddy had to jackknife to get turned around and pulled out all his grilled wires doing it.

Snow was ‘OK’ at silent. Not as near as much as I thought, 30cm tops. If your driving up to silent bring chains if you have a trailer. Very slippery in the first 10km.

I’ve been sledding silent for 20 years...the problem these days is that it gets tracked out immediately the day it snows. We had a 60cm day last week. It was all tracked out by 1pm.... nobody use to ever go there. The deep lasted all week...unfortunately as the sport grows so does the usage.....
