Haha yup. Had our B channel on trucker chat while riding revy last week. Pretty entertaining.

Not alot of love for a certain demographic of trucker.

Epic time today...bottomless powder that had the old M8 153 2.25 at the limit. Staged at Morrissey at noonish...turned right at FWA and kept the throttle pinned.

Cold but bearable...groomer was just starting on the way up as we were coming down.

Totally high quality blower snow

as per my phone its says is -32 but feels like -39 with a extreme cold warning right now in Sparwood. I think its a great day to not even go outside today. And I complained about the cold yesterday.... go figure

I recall a thread about what is the coldest temp you would ride at. My bottom is -20 if I am in the hills (meaning I have driven several hours to get there). Around home is closer to -15. Apart from the occasional cold snap, this means there are plenty of riding for me.

I thought SE BC was warmer than the prairies? :)

Happy New Year to y'all down there - K

Published to YouTube. A cold day for our mountain gear but the flatlanders were warm other than fingers. The snow is great and deep. When this settles and forms a base the next storm cycle will be stellar.

I here ya', Kevan. We are warmer, generally speaking, but it is cold pretty much all over. I see Creston/Castlegar are quite a bit warmer and the Shuswap is in the teens also. My cut off is -15 and I am thinking it should be -10 . Sometimes when I have guests coming from the east, I do make a sacrifice and ride with them.

We staged at the townsite on Sat and lots of powder to be found. Parking was kinda cramped though lots of trailers and decks everywhere. There were a couple of decks at the tin shack and a couple of rails at the pull out.

I don't recall seeing any hoar frost at all but that last picture was taken at a spot where only two of our group dropped into and they had taken the picture. This week looks to be warming up and hopefully this snow can consolidate a bit.

Warming up but a little foggy in the valley. At elevation is was awesome. Still mega hazards and the snow is settling quickly.

Going along just great..............

and then.......

No damage to the sled but the pride was jerked around somewhat.

The snow has settled quite a bit and with the big warm up today (it is 0C at 4300' this morning) a good base will be formed. The next system through will be glorious.

I hope the next system is a doozy. I've barely had the raves open this year.

Ya it was sure scary the other day. Anytime you stuck a ski into fresh snow you were just waiting for an impact. I was kind of amazed at how tensed up and tired I was after riding that way all day.
Should be super fun tho with a couple feet of fresh snow. Anything in the forecast soon?

Doesn't look like anything super significant for snowfall. A couple 5-10cm dumps over the next 2 weeks but that's it.
