Noted! Was coming up with a group of guys who have never rode Fernie Dec.11th to the 15th. I think we are going to Re-Route to Revy or Valemount. Forecast does not look promising. :(

Yes, by the looks of the 14 day forecast, it doesn't look promising. I remember a year out here where didn't ride until Christmas day (that was in Elkford and access was an issue due to no valley bottom snow). Fernie was a little earlier as they have more logging roads getting up to elevation.

What are the conditions like up around the coal creek and wrangler cabins? We are supposed to arrive Tuesday and the forecast looks good. Will this reload be enough or should a guy wait for some more snow before heading out?

A bunch of us (12) will be skiing and sledding in the little sand drainage from the 28-30. We are all AST and carry radios if you are in that area come to the grizzly basin cabin and introduce yourself. We will be there for 3 days.

was up at Morrissey and Harvey pass last 2 days.. Morrissey staging is past the Sea-can, the trail up is a bit rough and some gravel but is ridable. The pipeline is tracked out but has cover. If you head south at Cabin there is some good tree riding, fresh lines can be had, obviously early season conditions but it was a lot of fun. Harvey pass yesterday was snowing and hard to see, but lots of snow in the bowl, there are rocks, but easy to see them.. tree riding was awesome, and in some places Hero deep snow.... obviously with the 20-40 cm coming tomorrow the riding will be awesome...

ps there is no cabin at Harvey, seems the forest fires burnt it down..
