Curious which way you accessed Harvey??

Make sure to have a radio if you go to Harvey. Don't want this area shut down by the logging company. She is sled deck/small trailer access. (very limited parking) No room for four place enclosed trailers. More of a sled ski area then a sled zone.

We accessed down lodgepole rode... you deffinetly need a radio, there is logging activity.. make sure you know what your doing. We have a radio, use one and call up and down the road is narrow.. and the staging is very small edge of road, no big trailers, just enough for a truck with deck.. but ya the riding is great.. also of you don't have AST training and are cautious, maybe don't go.. there's some big risk areas with alot of terrain traps.

Mike

We are heading down to crow tomorrow, may be find some fresh white gold.. :)

Might be a good time to bring up the 8 who died in 2008 in Harvey Bowl oddly enough near the holidays. Use caution in this area

Yes, the 28th of December 2008. The South Rockies Avalanche Team has been out and the rating is High. The new snow and the crap that is underneath will be interesting to say the least.

I was out yesterday and had a blast but we kept it tame. We saw other groups with carnage as its still early and there are lots of land mines out there. Be real carefull

It is deep. Probed 160-170 cm in quiet meadows (no wind effect). The dude was trying to get to the bottom and was still wiggling his feet. The groomer was filling in bridges and had Coal Creek pretty much groomed when we came home today.

A little colder today but a little brighter. There was 10 cm of fresh this morning on top of the pow from the beginning of the week. Conditions are awesome. Rode up on a freshly groomed tail this morning.
Les was rocking and rolling the 174 up through the big timber with a great big chit eating grin all day. Good times!

Heard the road was $hit though and Morrissey was a better recommendation. That and the active logging on coal might make it dicey.
