It was on the trailer and I only meet one car along the way so I think the rock came from my truck tire. I guess iI have to start covering the window when hauling it down the road. Went for five years hauling this one and the one before it with no problems it must have been luck it didn't happen sooner.

When we were hauling our swathers on transports, after 3 door windows smashed out, we got a cover built to wrap around the cab.

Just hours before this happened I was cleaning the window and noticed lots of little rock chips. Then when I was talking to my dad shortly after I said I should cover the window then 4 hours later I pulled into then water station got out of the truck and saw glass all over the trailer then saw the window was not there any more.

And to make it worse it always happens right before a weekend so parts are hard to get asap.Right?:(

On the bright side you get a clean windshield out of the deal!

Right. But it could have been further away than Regina. I even offered to pay extra to get it faster but Monday afternoon was the soonest they could get in.

Case & New Holland are famous for poor parts delivery....a neighbor of mine bought a used NH mfwd tractor (still the current TG series)....needed some front diff parts....it took over a month to get them:eek::eek:...If you had a John Deere sprayer, you probably would have been able to get your parts the same day. Deere has a distribution centre in Edmonton and the dealer can get parts the next morning or even when it is necessary, they can get same day service......even a customer pickup at the distribution centre!:):)

It rained just enough to keep the dust down on the gravel roads here last night.

Almost 4/10th's in the last 24 hours ().

Fields soggy and cutting tracks when spraying. Every year is different!

If I had a deere I would have been stuck and would not have broke the window.

I think you make that comment because you would have gone further into questionable areas of the field with the Deere sprayer. Areas of the field where you would normally have buried that heavy Case sprayer.......:eek:

We all know that Deere has better mud handling characteristics because of its lighter footprint:d

There is a reason that Deere has close to 60% market share where Case shares the other 35% with about 10 other manufacturer's.:):)

We have a custom operator down here that says it is impossible to get the newer Deere's stuck. I may have to give him a go. Been burying Rogators pretty regular as of late.

this'd be a good year to test that theory.

You probably didn't factor in the tire sizes....Deere has MUCH larger tires on the 4930 vs Case 4420.:)

Another common complaint with the Case "rear engine" sprayer is you need to service the rad DAILY or it heats up. Ask a Deere guy how often he has to clean his rad....NEVER

Yah it is a bit quieter with the rear engine but not better.

Who has the superior ride? DEERE

What's the HP on your case? 290 vs 325 on Deere

Rinse tank 70 gal vs 150 on the Deere

Visibility from the cab when transporting down the road? You can hardly see out of the side with the Case because of the booms folding up next to the cab....very dangerous crossing intersections or coming out of the field onto the road.

Resale value? WOW no comparison there....Deere kicks ass again.
