That was Tyler and b north last weekend that cut the treesHeaded up Blue today to breath a little mountain air ! Parked at 10k bridge - there was about 10 inches of fresh snow on trail ! Probably coulda headed up farther but was pulling a 2place trailer so decided not to ! Guys with decks could probably go 15 or maybe even to 17 corner but theres some ice underneath the snow ! Chains would be highly recommended ! May may way towards the cabin - just after the first cut block there are some large trees blocking the trail - thanks to whoever made path with chainsaws - its a narrow path but made it through ! Proceeded towards to find powder getting deeper , with no creeks visible - could see some open water at larger creek just before cabin on left side ! Lakes froze at cabin - temp was around -8 . Headed up bunny hill and ventured over to meadows - found knee deep dry fluffy powder with 2 1/2 to 3ft base - played in meadows for a bit and headed back down ! Thanks Mother Nature ! Its a very good start to the season !
We only had one tank of gas for the saw so couldn't open the trail as wide as we wanted. Took a full tank just to cut what was there.Headed up Blue today to breath a little mountain air ! yes need to be careful ...i think another half a meter would be nicePicked up some stuff at xtreme in Salmon Arm. Dustin mentioned two guys came in today looking for a-arms. One was at Queest, other at Blue Lake. Apparently they couldn't resist some early pow carving...
