I generally wouldn't try riding eagles before dec 1st unless there is some significant snow dumps. Last year we Decided to drive down from revy since it was pouring rain in town and felt like checking it out / rolling the dice on some low snow we could drive to. Got to the 24km mark by the shale slide (right before the trees) and no snow. This was Nov 11th . Got out of the truck and walked to the top where the tree'd in trail started and there was snow and a single, old washed away sled track lol. Went back there Dec 10th and it had snowed a few inches overnight so and we had our enclosed so parked at the bottom, but they were parking up to 9km I wanna say with decks.. 4km with 2-places or if you felt like dragging the 4 places up there. We realized we would have been crazy trying to manoeuvre over all the stumps and trees to get to the cabin as the groomer didn't have nearly enough snow to make a trail across the burn it was all a single goat path... my hats off to whoever breaks this trail (and their sled) every year getting in!

Just checked last seasons thread... "real" sledding didn't start until Nov. 20th.
Oh well, haven't pulled my sled out of storage yet anyways.

real sledding usually starts any time after Remembrance Day, before that it's just to scratch the itch and trying not to leave any A arms on the mountain.

Can't get into Owl's yet, too much water to cross. I was at Blue Lake on Sunday about 2' of hard pack covering most of the rocks but need a solid dump on top.

Has anyone ventured up queest yet? I seem to remember rene being the first one in last year. I would think owls creeks are looking better after this dump but still not good like you said. Always entertaining seeing people try to punch in there early season. Haha
