Blue River Snow Report for December/07

Ahhhh....Dec.1 it is pretty darn cold here today woke up to a Temp. of -22
North wind so it feels much colder...Brrr....
Forecast is for 30 cms. of Snow within the next 2-4 days

The Groups coming in on the Dec 7,8 Weekend...Looking Good !!!!

Keep checking back here as I will be posting daily our Weather and Snow for Blue River....

According to Enviroment Canada.... Canada is in for a Long Winter

So pitter patter lets get atter !!!

OK Here it is Sunday Dec.2...
Temp. -11 Snowing lightly Overcast....
ULAR had better pull through on his prediction of 30 cms.!!
People are calling VERY Excited about the up coming Season.
Book into Blue River for Your Extraordinary Mountain Snowmobile Expedition !!!

Avalanche Danger....
Alpine...Considerable
Treeline...Considerable
Below Treeline...Moderate

Extreme Wind,rapidly rising tempatures and Heavy precipation are all indicators that Avalancha Danger is increasing and that it is time to move into simple Terrain

A few curious people have been asking what the Elevation here is in Blue River

It is 2250 Feet...
That is here in Town...

Rode Saturaday and sunday in blue river...snow was awesome rode with some guys from blue river and we were breakin trail into a area....today we rode from town and had to punch our way up to the alpine.....tis was fun

Dec 3.....

ULAR ......ROCKS !!!!!!

In Town We have received about 1 1/2 feet of Fresh Snow !!
Over top of my boots ....that was walking down the road here..

I can see Us getting close to 50 cms. by the end of today

Temp. -12 A Outstanding Winter is on the way !!!

I would rate this... For a Snow Day

Alpine- High
Treeline- High
Below Treeline- Considerable

Crazy Weather We are having !!.....
Freezing rain !!! Should be Snowflakes !!

Avalanches have been occuring Frequently and should continue to occure on Tuesday in response to heavy precipitation,strong winds or dynamic triggers
such as skiers or sledders. Backcountry travel on Tuesday is NOT recommended for people without extensive training or professional guidence.

Forecast for Avalanche Danger...

Alpine High
Treeline High
Below Treeline High

It is White Knuckle Driving out there!
Use Extreme Caution on these Mountain Roads.
Watch the Elevated Corners out here also!!
Plow Truck on its side last night because of the Elevated Corners!
