Whole side pork cut down to 4 pieces.
2 smothered in Maggis for 1 hour.
Other 2 covered in Cabelas Whiskey Barrel competition sauce.
Smoked four hours on low in Apple and Cherry wood mix (not pellets).
Removed, cooled, cut and vacum sealed ready for fire pit, campfire finallized carmallization......
MMMMM.
Of course, wife and snuck a few pieces of the sides of every piece for a tase...
Looks awesome Rick. You are getting right into this!

Sorry Tyler,
Straight Maggis from the bottle on both sides and sprinkle lightly with seasoning salt.

Cut top off sealed bags and lighly put Maggis in and mix, prior to putting on campfire for final cook.
I've always loved Maggi on my pork. It was a staple in the house growing up, always on rice, in soups etc.

May have to try your tricks!

Nothing but time when yah retired. LOL
Could not even have a sociable while doing all tht yesterday as I got my second shot at 600.
But had some after that during the cut up phase.
Lots of great cooks on this thread and trying some of their ideas and some of my own

Keep posting folks.

turned out awesome on the old smoker

Well Arnold, I've been thinking about enjoying the joys of owning a boat and possibly, a new or new to me truck. One of the mistakes that I made earlier in my life was regarding my pension. I never thought at the time that the price of toys would be sooooooo phucking high. So I work a few projects here and there to buy toys!! Nothing real big and never in the winter.
