Sell it for whatever you can and think of it as still owning it in away .
Take that money and see if you can double it ? Buy something else that’s sellable through the summer months ? A fixer upper item as your time is free .
Buy some good stocks right now ?
A lot of thinks I think a person could take $2500 and make it worth a lot more then a old sled sitting in the corner ? Lol

Honestly OP unless you change your outlook on money I kinda expect to see another similar thread in a few years. You are supposedly on the edge of insolvency but turn your nose up at $2500, are still looking at new 174 tracks, and are still working on your turbo T3. It's less an income issue and more a spending issue. You've spent yourself into a hole, quit digging and start climbing. Sell off the old sled, old trailer and getting old truck for whatever you can get. Buy a beater car and negotiate on your other consumer debt.

And I know this is going to come across as judgy, but take it for what it's worth. When I sign my name on a loan I feel like in some sense I am giving my word that I will pay that money back. There is no way I would walk away from an obligation unless there was no possible way to pay it back. The idea of running up unsecured debt purposely before declaring bankruptcy is pretty scummy imho.

I say sell anything and everything you can, pay down what you can, work with creditors on the rest, change spending habits, and do what you can for income. Not sure if there are ANY job opportunities there, but even taking something below your current station might be necessary. I'll never forget one winter when I was a kid. My dad was a drilling consultant. Patch was in the crapper and things were super tight. He ended up going roughnecking all winter to make ends meet for our family. I can't describe how much respect I have for him for that

No doubt this will be a big reset for everyone. That job that was below you will now become very appealing once EI runs out. It was a tuff few years already for a lot of people this is going to crush many. The ripple effect of putting the world on hold for months is hard to comprehend. If they let everyone loose tomorrow are you going to run back and jump on airplanes and go on vacation? Unlikely most are going to see where this settles out and hold there cards pretty close for months. There is always a silver lining though this potentially makes a generation of people a lot more savvy and responsible.

This would be the reset/ripple effect I’m referring to. Unfortunately it’s going to affect all of us in one way or another just going to hit some very hard. But like anything there is always a silver lining some are going to come out stronger than ever.

Your generation had the worst luck Ken. Starting out at 18% interest and now that you have a nest egg for retirement there are stock market crashes and a bank will give .2% on secure investment and your money won't even keep up with inflation.

I was recently advertising some jobs here in BC, and half the applicants were from Alberta. Some people laughed at the wages, and others were very thankful that they were as high as they are.
Those who have no desire to work for less than $60 to 80 hour need to rethink their plans a little. Interestingly 40 percent were women applicants, and they were happy to be considered. They didn't mind starting at $30 and hopefully doing well to get a raise after 6 months.

AB or BC I'd be happy to start at 25/hr to keep a roof over my head and ALL of my payments going. Might not be able to play as much, but oh well...… And yes. I finance almost everything, I have.

Yeah it bugs me when I started in the trades it was $20 an hour top dog wage in the 1990s, now the kids laugh at ya if they don’t get $30 to start with no skills yet wtf?

What was minimum wage for you guys back in the day? I remember working for 4.90 an hour then got bumped up to 5.50 I think shortly after in 2001?
