Good day all,
I have a problem with my water well at home, and I need to borrow or rent a Back Hoe ASAP!!!
I'm currently without water :(
Any help or referrals would be greatly appreciated.

Is it your pitless adapter? Are you SURE ,you have to dig........Check ALL options ,before you dig IE : Pump control box, wiring, pump itself, pressure test, pressure tank, pump control ETC ETC. Digging is not fun this time of year, so be sure first....

If you have to dig, use an 4 ton mini excavator or bigger or a bigger backhoe. Make sure he hasa little pitless adaptor experiance(water well ) or is a GOOD operator.......It is a precise dig !! Good luck , its not as bad as it sounds.........

I know I have to dig :( One of my neighbors is an electrical and mechanical engineer. He diagnosed everything today, as I relayed it to the well company, who knows the history of my house before it was mine.

I'll be the operator of the mini excavator, got a price from United Rentals for 700 everything said and done. I have a call into an excavation company that does this all the time. I'll see what their prices are tomorrow, and see if it's even worth my time.

Same neighbor, let me use their shower tonight. I brought some water over to brush my teeth, and have coffee in the morning.

Oh If I wasn't so busy I maybe could of come with a machine and done it. The ground will sure need to be ripped first before you dig I'm ripping 3 ft of frost at the moment. Trenching for lighting.

Sent from my iPhone while wishing the snow was gone so I can go dirt biking.

Do you need to dig up the waterline because it is collapsed or broken, leaking? Very unusual to have to dig er up.
If I turn on my pump, I flood my yard from the bottom up. Mostly around the casing.

I have a pretty damn decent price from an excavation company, that deals with this regularly. I'm just waiting on an availability confirmation call. So I might not be doing this myself..........

Merv, I might swing by your shop for some water... I'm good for today.

Chances are your clamps let go at your pitless adaptor,or the fitting rusted out.....Get on it ASAP while the weather is good,as if it gets real cold it will really freeze with all the water down there.Always start in the early AM, as if you run into some unexpected issues ,you can deal with them that day....with out leaving the hole open for more frost.
The little hoe might not do it if you have been leaking for a while and have ,lots of freezing...........Good luck !
