Just noticing that quality work, and good business itself is almost non existent anymore? in the last month i have had the absolute WORST experience dealing with businesses and quality of work.

Sent exhaust to get coated, emailed with a picture that there is a crack in a location. Took two months to get back, and came back cracked, and a hole in the exhaust you can see through. They even list in the service they check the piece multiple times through out the process to ensure it doesn't create pin holes or anything. Took two months, even with me paying an extra $50 for the rush.

bought titanium hardware and pins to fit into clutch, one pin was not machined properly, was tight in the clutch figured that out when i was installing it, tried to remove, and galled into the aluminum of the clutch. Had to use liquid nitrogen to freeze the pin, and punch it out. One of the torx head bolts the torx was not put in properly and the torx bit cannot fit all the way to the bottom of the socket.

Was removing the clutch because the weights i was sent were the wrong weight, i thought they felt heavy good thing i asked.

Ordered frog skinz told them everything i needed over the phone. They didn't send me everything that i ordered, it took a month to get them, instead of shipping the new frog skinz express like i asked, they sent it snail mail again, and charged me for freight on top of it. Which sucks because its the same company that makes the titanium pins...

That's not even including the problems that arose from my own unfortunate terrible luck, anyone else notice that people just dont care anymore?

Agreed. We are in a world of pain with suppliers. Even the big guys brandt, finning and others. It’s impossible to get parts or find people that want to work. No quality people that is.
just keep getting ripped off and empty promises.
With this idiot running the country into the ground I’ve taken a hard look at moving abroad or Deep South. Glad I sold my company and don’t need to rely on much support anymore.

Where the puck did all the workers go????? I know a few retired but not all of them. I put the blame on sock boy. Useless POS.. There's a town project on the go in Sparwood and they had to bring in workers from Mexico because couldn't find many within the country and when they did a few didn't like the hard work. The project didn't meet it's deadline. Both Finning and Teck are desperate for mechanics. Finning pays more per hour than Teck but teck has a better bonus system (if you meet the targets). They barley get people applying.

Everybody wants (thinks they deserve) the top floor corner office…
show up to the office fashionable late…
buy their $15 Starbucks downstairs, but also demand the office kitchen be full stocked….

I’m sorry… but your poly-sci/psychology/fine arts degree holds absolutely zero value in my world.

I’ve seen a few decent young people roll through my line of work, but way too many that are complete crap…

I have almost 20 years running equipment. Any job I look for besides up north, they are offering $25-30 an hour. You're not going to get experience for that.

The cost of everything has increased substantially, except our wages. I don't expect a corner office but pay me close to what my experience is worth and you will get a top notch employee

I have a good dedicated older guy working for me that once had his own business, was raised on a farm, best worker Ive ever had. Hired a young girl from a competitor, not dedicated, lots of appointments, issues, lack of attention, spend more time on there phones texting even in job site set up meetings, bored when training, want to rush everything, no attention to detail, Gone.... Hard to find the good trusty ones anymore, I make sure he's treated good.

Recently bosses and unions folded up human rights and invaded privacy with mandatory VAX. And now we wonder where the workers are. ????
30% had integrity and morals and refused the jabs Those are probably the workers worth hiring. Having scruple’s and self worth is a plus in a employee.

And it isn’t getting better, the school systems are extremely flawed. Kids aren’t learning as fast as they used to and not learning the curriculum they used to. Parents don’t make their useless kids work or do anything, spend tens of thousands of dollars on them and the kids still think they get nothing. I see 13-14 year old kids playing with toys. When I was 12-13 I was working part time and playing with chicks if you know what I mean . I said to my in-laws last year that they should be worried about their 14 year old grand son who was downstairs playing with toys. They said well what were you doing at 14……? I said finger banging chicks and working lol. It blew their Calgary city living minds. The leftist/liberal mindset is a plague and destroying the future. I moved out at 17 and have been on my own since, worked, put myself through school, not a dollar from my parents or anybody. This generation of high schoolers or younger will be lucky to move out at age 37 on average. And their parents will have to beg them too do so. It’s a bad joke and it scares the ever living $hit outta me that we don’t have a generation to take over in 10-20 years.

Yup I was working before I was a teenager. Started with a paper route. When I was 14 or 15, I was working 1000 hours a summer. Not much time for fun.

I’m on the other side of this issue as I’m looking for work and can’t seem to find a good employer. I’ve tried 3 jobs driving this past year and all 3 employers were terrible. I’m retired and looking for a decent wage with benefits but I’ve noticed employers don’t even respond to my applications, despite providing detailed cover letter and resume - and I’m No donkey. I’m not working for $15/hour!

I had my concrete guy stop answering his phone after we paid him in August... He was done the work we had agreed on but I still had an extra pad for him to pour on the side of the garage, which he promised to be done before the snow... he actually reached out the week before Christmas to apologize and let me know he will gladly finish it in the spring if I want...

must have been a real runaway... 4 months
