560lbs hey....well if i lose the 50lbs i plan to then the weight will be damn near what my xp weighs.

and remember 177hp at altitude. i think this sled will be alot of fun.

honest.

even the old m1000 would be 130hp at altitude and probly only 50lbs lighter.

i wont be switching because i have a doo boner but i would like to try one

Supertrax!!

Okay, we've been busting to tell you about the new Arctic Cat sleds for almost a month now and today the embargo is lifted and we can spill the beans.

We've ridden this sled rather extensively at two different sites (Minnesota & Montana) and our praise for the new chassis has been doubly confirmed. This is a breakthrough snowmobile.

The new F-series Cats are much lighter, more compact snowmobiles than Cat has produced since the days of the Firecat and the new sleds' hallmarks are twofold: Excellent ergonomics and most importantly, handling.

Frankly, there hasn't been a Cat that handles like this one since the days of the old sit-down ZR chassis and AC moves to the top of the handling heap in one fell swoop with this widely spaced double A-arm design.

This sled's neutral handling manners are better than any competitor and its knife-like ability to carve corners makes it a total blast to ride. This element has been sadly missing on Cats the past few years and now the fun-factor is back in spades!

The other big deal is the way the new 4-stroke Cat works. This is the first 4-stroke we've ridden that doesn't feel anything like a 4-stroke! Honest.

We can't believe how there's simply no handling compromise with last year's Z1 even-firing parallel twin under the hood. This is pure magic and finally, after almost ten years of 4-stroke sleds, somebody has finally managed to get it right.
k well they talk about f series handling so im guessin thats trail ridin, dont really care how they handle. Im wondering how the M8 handles the pow and havent heard any of that yet, anyone else? Anyone hear a weight on the m8 too?

i know...but ron switched this whole site onto a new server in like an hour you think cat could come up with something

I have a fubby feeling tho that there are a few more people tryin to look at the cat site versus s&m. I like the site but not everyone in N.A. know about it. I do agree that thewy kinda dropped the ball on it abit with there site and such.

They gained weight? Hard to believe really, where did this info come from? My 11 162 non sno pro is 477, that's cat's specs as dry weight, is this the fueled weight possibly? Seems like a bad move to switch the handling and diamond drive up for a new sled with the same hp and a few more pounds, not to mention being cramped up in the front I doubt a can will drop 10-17 lbs depending on brands like the current. They are very pretty though, that retro black 1100 is my favorite looking sled available followed closely by the blacked out xp, I said it, xp, I'm not loyal to brands at all;)

Well I can't say I don't want to try one or that I don't like the looks, but I have no complaints with mine either so until mines ready to be switched out I'll be content trying someone else's out

My buddy just told me the price on these are 14500 out the door, someone on another thread here posted them at 17,000 plus tax etc.

I guess I was thinking for 17k thats crazy but for 14500 that isn't bad at all for a nice turbo that could easily be upgraded to bump up the power.

anyone priced them yet?

I think Arctic cat came out with a very nice looking 2 stroker Rev/XP/Pro rmk. Now it doesn't matter what you buy. There all the same. Pick the best dealer near you, and you can't go wrong. If you want the big 4 stroke, they just might have the edge now.

Could you include your source?
Are those "wet" weights?

2010 Z1 Turbo Ext 628 lbs. dry
I don't think the 2012 would be gaining weight
