I always try to bring the land owner a roll of sausage or jerky as a token of appreciation has always did us well. Heck the one farmer left a small swath of peas off a hillside for us to goose hunt over one season after delivering jerky the year prior.

Delivered some meat to the land owner tonight. He offered me more land to hunt on next year! Score!

Thats awesome. Farmers are pro hunting if they are asked and hunters are respectful of land access. Sadly I have had hunters promise me jerky as well and never have come through even though they have harvested deer off my hilly west country

I find in our area when it comes to permission and such going to their door and conversing goes a lot farther then a phone call. And appreciate if the land owners say go but foot access only. ( I always joke with them at that point about a tractor rental if we knock something down)

I dropped off two bottles wine, one package deer pepperoni, one ring garlic deer sausage, 5x1.5# hamburger packages.
Two more farmers to go that get a frozen ready to cook stew mix added in and my 13 quarters of paradise are locked in for next year again.

You are dead on zal, gotta keep the neighbors happy.
