Was tough hunting last week up by Blue Ridge. Not a lot moving until later in the week.

Harvested a young buck, 2 ruffies, 3 sprucies, and my cousin filled his cow moose tag and also got a young buck.

Still have my 2 supplemental white tail tags and a bull moose tag for 507..... Wouldn't mind finding the bull moose.

After the shot.
Cutting and wrapping.
Roasts with bacon and Montreal steak spice inside this is a white tail.
Group filled all 3 moose tags so we full up in freezers.
Try to squeeze an elk in as we still have a cow and a bull tag left.

Couple weeks later this guy strolls onto 12 yards and just hangs out eating.
Be a nice one next year.

Daughter and I got it done yesterday.
No bulls just about 14 cows and calves.
Had a cow and calf for a few minutes at 9 yards, but we don't orphan calves.
Then the rest stepped out at 75 yards and gave us a couple minutes to make the selection.
Said her heart was just pounding, first time so close to so many elk.
We are now done for the year and buddies daughter and mine did all the gun shots this year.
Huge cow!
