Big can has ability to put little can on top of it i was told, that’s what I’m going to try and doo, then strap em down. Randy has me itch’in for a big adventure to this place out back somewhere.

There are pictures in the Mcbride section from last year with both cans stacked on my 850.
A bit wiggly but usually dump the first can in pretty quick.....quicker if you have a hair dryer.
For the long haul we were discussing you will want both cans.

BDX makes a 13gal tank for the proclimb. Tack on their lightweight seat and you save weight and add capacity.

I had both.
On regular days I used the small can. On deep or expected longer days big can on the bottom and the smaller can on top.
Still used to run out by 2PM on some of the deeper days.
See mid March posting last winter in McBride section.
Those days need two tanks.
Small tank on 850 and it is thirsty a WFO......like most sleds.

Ok....were you the older fella in the shop picture or the younger fellow. Lol.

Weights are good and all but and the end of the day it’s whichever machine performs best on the snow. And we know that is the skidoo 850

OK. This thread is over. Weight means nothing. Skeedue is still the best The end. MAXWELL has spoken.

Mike many numbers..... you're right this thread is over.

Ok ...........What's left? Maxwell summed it up

you know, you guys who praise Maxwell and all his BS reminds me of Liberal supporters who follow Justin Trudeau......the rest of us see through all the bull**** and wonder if you really are that stupid. LOL :p

yes, yes he probably could.....

Geez good thing I wear a toque........even that may be hard to pull on today.
I avoid dropping off the big ledges now to save my brittle bones but I still like to meander around the hills for a few more years.

Here is how is see this weight off:

Polaris is the lightest with the most Hp (2 stroke)
Ski-doo is second lightest with the same Hp as Polaris or reasonably close
Alpha heaviest of the 2 strokes with less Hp

The Alpha is heavier and under powered compared to the other two, so there is no reason for the Alpha to be even close when it comes to performance on the mountain. The engine is 50 cc smaller and 10 to 15 less hp. The Polaris and Ski-Doo should dominate, what happens when they don't? Every Alpha rider should consider packing a box of tissue, sat phone with a grief counselor on speed dial and use the next month or 2 to come up with reasons of what could have possibly went wrong. EG I must of been on a old track and just got lucky, your line must have been steeper than mine, must be snow conditions ,.....

But.....in theory, people are saying the alpha will carry less snow so power to weight kinda might even out across them. Will find out this winter. Hopefully someone brings a scale to the hill with three apples to apples to apples sleds to weigh. Like those dudes did a couple years back.
