Powder freaks head is very nicely built. Way more cooling surface area on the domes than stock. He machines all his own stuff in house and dynos. Good mid range gains with his head.
We still need a lot more snow, bunch of people have been wrecking a arms and more. Lots of hazards just under the snow. Hopefully we get the snow that is forecasted for this week.
Carbides are for trail and lake sleds, not for mountain sleds. Leave them on if you like replacing s and e modules from tapping a boulder. The damage shop floors, trailers, sled decks. If you still want to run them, grinder them down so there is no sharp edges on them.
I have zero problem with there being cat and heli ski operations, but the one problem that I do have with some of them is they think they own the land and can kick us off. I’ve done alot of research on this and to my understanding the only tenure that we can forced to leave off of is a exclusive...
I like about around 20 to 25% in sag, if you putting a lot of preload on the spring pretty close to maxing it out. You might want to get heavier springs. You want to use the least amount of preload on the spring for your sag setting for the best performance.. Also you could send you shocks away...
15 to 30% sag, depends on what you like and how you ride, are you bottoming out all the time. The occasional bottom out is fine. Everyone is different.
Have you thought about getting yours revalved?
I tryed elkas a few years ago, the felt nice on the small bumps but my xrs clickers where better in the big hits.
Air shocks are junk IMO, I rebuilt lots of them and rode them. Coils are still better when set up right.
Do have the cable end set in right in the thumb throttle, retaining clip set in, check the cable for any binding. Sounds like something is wrong with the throttle cable.
30,000km on the belt drive and close to 40,000 in the whole sled. Would have hit that but had to get toboggan out of Nun. Another destroyed drive axle #3. Few motors and other parts in there over the years.
Thats pretty much the way my belts broke too, over 30,000km on the c3 drive system now on the same ride. No more blown chaincases, toss on a new belt and keep riding. The Tki is most likely just as good.... Just now replacing my bottom gear, from the 3rd busted or belt drive axle.
Toss those carbides in a drawer, get yourself some harden steel ones or grind those carbides down. Don’t need them as a mountain rider most of the time. Stop riding in the gravel...
Ok ive seen lots of post about this blow hole over time, now in my professional opinion IMO!!! its a really good idea to move that hot air out, But!!!! Where is this new cold air coming in. As some one that deals with air movement, air out needs air in. If my foot well is packed full of snow(...
